Stayed May 8, 2025We absolutely loved and enjoyed the peace away from the city. We loved the lambs and their mammas! It is a great great place to stay. We were there 5 nights and was perfect.

Stayed May 28, 2025Our family have just returned from a lovely four night stay at Mauldslie Farm Cottage. Remote, but idyllic location. The cottage will not disappoint.Cosy due to highly effective heating and lovely blankets to snuggle. Comfortable due to the quality of furniture and bedding. Large enclosed garden and conservatory where our three Labradors could play and sleep. Lots of places to walk, but we chose the drive for simplicity...and for the stunning view of the reservoir. Kitchen is well equipped and has whatever you need for simple meals. Will definitely return!

Stayed May 22, 2025The property is very cute! It is more secluded than I realized it would be (which is on me for not doing my research). The road to get to the house is a little rough in some areas, especially if you’re in a smaller sedan. The shower also did not drain well. But overall great views and very quiet if you’re looking for something relaxing!

Stayed Sep 21, 2024We loved staying at Mauldslie Cottage while visiting the Edinburgh area. It was cozy & inviting. While it was a bit outside of Edinburgh, the train was very convenient to get into and home from the city, and we also enjoyed seeing the countryside.

Stayed Jul 14, 2024We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mauldslie cottage, it was perfect for our family. The cottage was outstanding, views were great & we loved being so near a farm with sheep & deer. My nephew loved the play room & the toys & games too! Great kitchen and very comfortable living space. Highly recommended!!!

Stayed Jun 20, 2024We spent three nights at Mauldslie Farm. The original old cottage has been lovingly restored and furnished. The area is wonderfully quiet and secluded with lots of wildlife all around. We liked it very much and didn't want for anything. Edinburgh is easy to reach by train from Gorebridge. Traveling by car is recommended.

Stayed Jan 3, 2024If you are looking for somewhere to recharge your batteries this is the lace to go. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Henrietta provided all the information we needed. We would definitely go back again, we were sad to leave and could have happily stayed for a few more days
