Tucked away amongst the surrounding native bush and right at the edge of the waters of Golden Bay, Matai Cottage is host to a picturesque backdrop ideal for a holiday away from the hustle and bustle. The living room, dining room and master bedroom all open out to the views, thesundeck and then down onto the waterfront lawn area.

Sleeping up to 6 guests, Matai Cottage is a great place to settle into with your family or group offering all the essentials including a BBQ for those classic kiwi summer dinners fresh off the grill and private access down to the water.

Take some time out to get away from it all or use this as a base to do some local exploring. Matai Cottage is positioned on Farewell Spit, which offers wonderful walks from the cliffs to Wharariki Beach and the walks in Kaharangi National Park.

As the property has unfenced access to the beach, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.
