Located on the western shore of beautiful Seneca Lake about eight miles south of Geneva just off Route 14, Easy Livin’ Cottage at Oak Grove Beach is a perfect place to relax and enjoy family fun. This two-bedroom lakeside cottage offers something to guests of all ages, and its location in the heart of the Finger Lakes makes Easy Livin’ Cottage an ideal destination for a family or two adult couples.
Easy Livin’ Cottage is very comfortable and decorated to reflect the Finger Lakes. It features a fully equipped “L” shaped kitchen that includes an electric stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, utensils, glassware, and pots and pans. A spacious living-dining room with a working fireplace and 46” LCD Smart TV with cable provides warmth and entertainment on chilly evenings. The cottage also has WiFi internet. Baseboard heat plus a heater in the bathroom are also available. We have a wall air conditioner unit that will keep the cottage cooler on the hot summer days. There is one bathroom with a shower; the water supply is from the city. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom includes a bunk bed with a full mattress on the lower bed and a single on the upper and will sleep three. There is also a queen pullout sofa in the living room. (We DO NOT provide bed linens or towels.) French doors provide open access from the living area to the spacious screened-in porch overlooking the lake and features a picnic table and ample seating. This is a great place to enjoy the exquisite sunrises, the serene moon rises, or to relax, read a book or just daydream and enjoy the lake. The cottage is all on one floor with two steps at the driveway side entrance.
The large rolling lawn borders 135 feet of level natural lake frontage and provides wonderful opportunities for summer fun. You might cook on the charcoal grill, gather everyone around the outside picnic table for a summer barbecue, play a board game or game of cards, but be sure to take time to relax in the comfort of the Adirondack chairs on the lawn as you watch the wildlife and waves on the lake.
Eight stairs bring you to a level beach. The lakefront is all natural and the water depth is gradual, about three feet at the end of the dock and “dotted” with a few large rocks, making this a perfect spot to swim, wade and play in the water. The dock is great for relaxing and sunbathing. In the evening the fire pit is available for a campfire, toasting marshmallows and making s'mores. You can watch the moon rise across the lake, enjoy the serenity of the moonlight dancing on the lake, find the patterns in the stars, or simply listen to the water lapping on the shore.
Railroad Tracks run 100 feet behind the house with a short train about twice a day, as is the same with most of the cottages in this area.
Pillows, comforters and blankets are supplied. Bed linens, bath, beach and kitchen towels are not included.
During the main summer season (June through the week following Labor Day) our bookings run Saturday - Saturday for 7 nights. May and late September/October bookings have a 3 night minimum and will be approved based on dates and other requests. Once the booking has been approved a Rental Agreement will be sent out to for review. Payment of the rental will constitute agreement to the Rental Agreement.
This cottage is very cute and quaint. The lake was great, shallow very clean.
This was our second time at the Easy Livin' Cottage, and it did not disappoint. If you are looking for a tranquil, cozy spot with gorgeous views and easy access to the water, then this is your place. We rented paddle boards for the week, had fires on the beach, took advantage of delicious local wines and fresh produce, and went for hikes every day. Thank you so much!
Came as advertised!!
We really enjoyed our first stay on Seneca lake. The cottage was very nice and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The swimming was great. The location is good. It’s pretty close to town so we could get what we needed. We weren’t expecting the train to go through but it was short each time and only seemed to go through during the day. We would definitely stay here again.
Love this little cottage! Great location. The furniture is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the screened in porch is fantastic. Had a wonderful time enjoying the view of the lake and the ducks, birds and other little visitors to the dock and beach area. Would definitely visit again!
The property was as advertised. Great location with a beautiful view of the lake. The screened in porch was the highlight. A great place for morning sunrises and evening relaxation. Great wineries and restaurants a short drive away. Rooms are small but fine for two people. Highly recommend it. Andy August 2022
Mark was very quick to reply to queries and extremely attentive to our needs. We enjoyed a few fires in the firepit.
We had a fantastic time at the Easy Living Cottage. It was just the 2 of us so we had plenty of room. My favorite space was the screened porch overlooking the lake. Even with the rain during our stay, the porch was a peaceful place to listen to the water lap against the shore. We enjoyed the fire pit. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. We rented kayaks and explored the lake. Close to breweries, winery's and parks. Would love to return next time we are in the area.
We loved our stay on Seneca Lake. The screened in porch overlooking the lake is a vacation on its own, but the location of the house makes it so easy to explore the area! Everything we needed. My dog had a great time too.
This property was in a very private and peaceful setting. There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy nature. The screen porch was delightful at any point in the day and it has everything you need for a nice trip. I hope to return and would recommend it to anyone seeking a simple and peaceful experience.
We have stayed at this cottage two years ago and it is a very nice place to stay. We always have a great week of weather and the cottage has everything we need. My favorite thing is the screened in porch. I sleep out there the whole week. Nice and quiet and a great time for my family.
Great location on the lake. Very well apportioned. Host was very responsive. Highly recommend this host and property.
Cottage is basic and has everything needed for an enjoyable stay for 2. Great location both for splashing in the lake or for enjoying all the wine country has to offer.
Lots of activities in vacinity besides a beautiful location.
Well equipped with a great location. Big grassy lawn slopping down to the lake. Wildlife viewing galore.
We had an absolutely wonderful time. The location was great, close to shopping and activities as well as the lake. The property was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies, etc. Everything was as advertised and expected. Definite win!
Rustic cottage on Seneca Lake with an awesome screened in front porch where you can enjoy sunrise or happy hour cocktails. A huge sloping yard to the water and a lengthy dock with a platform at the end. Comfortable Adirondack chairs in the yard overlooking the lake. Very quiet relaxing, serene experience. Bedrooms on the smaller size, not much room to accommodate suitcases. I'll be back.
