Forming an area of reed bed and grazing marsh, this River is of great importance for migratory birds and a fantastic spot for birdwatching. There is a two-mile stretch of a pebbled-beach, with a beach hut on the promenade for sun-seekers. The town offers an excellent high street for retail therapy as well as many eateries.
