peaceful, remote setting and fabulously clean and a well stocked kitchen with everything needed to cook the shower is amazing as were the bed linen. This almost 1K squeet cottage at the end of a long drive is a delight. A bountiful gift basket greeted us and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything one might need to keep body and soul together. Wonderful surroundings, deep woods quiet, never heard a car all weekend. Lots of sitting places among well-landscaped areas outside. Bed super comfortable, lots of closet space, many hangers (yes!!!), and bathroom/shower great. More DVD's than we've ever seen in any rental unit, and those together with the living room fireplace would make even the most soggy of times a pleasant experience. Most highly recommended.

The cottage was well appointed with everything we needed in the kitchen & bathroom.It was in a very quiet location up the hill off West Saanich Road but groceries, & restaurants were only minutes away.

We really enjoyed our stay in Kat’s cottage. It was spacious and airy and bright! The kitchen was set up with everything we needed, and there were two lovely spots for enjoying our coffee outside in the morning. Kathleen was very welcoming, and kept in contact with us throughout our stay. The location is quiet and private, yet only a few minutes drive from Brentwood for supplies, or about 35 minutes from downtown to see the sights. We would recommend staying at the cottage for anyone looking for this type of stay.

Amazing French Country cottage! Spacious and beautifully decorated. We came to the area to visit Butchart Gardens and this was perfectly located close by. Also close enough for a couple of day trips to Victoria.

This beautifully designed and crafted cottage in a quiet woodland setting was a wonderful place for even a brief getaway, and would be delightful for a more extended stay. Kathleen is a welcoming and thoughtful host (and accomplished artist!), and the cottage is truly beautiful and beautifully equipped. This is a very unique property that you will love. It is beautifully furnished and is located in a quiet, forest like setting, but still just minutes away from Victoria. So glad we stayed here for four nights!!

Kat’s Cottage was like walking into a dreamworld. French doors on all four sides looking out into the surrounding deep woods. The space inside is equally breathtaking, with special attention to small decorative details. Beautiful kitchen in an open floor plan, with high ceilings spacious washroom and lovely comfortable bedroom with its own French door to the outside. Located with easy access to just about anything you want to do, from kayaking and hiking to a day in Victoria. Highly recommend this little treasure.

If only we could take this cottage with us everywhere we travel. The setting is perfect for us: gorgeous woods, beautiful decor, extremely well equipped, stunningly quiet and convenient for all we love in the Sidney/Victoria area.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights. We were looking for a place that was close enough to the downtown experience but far enough away to enjoy a quiet getaway. This cottage was exactly as depicted in the photos. It was like living in a beautiful picture. Kathleen provided us with all the necessities for easy living; the bathroom and kitchen were very well equipped. We would love to return to this oasis of peace and tranquility!

I was working temporarily in Victoria and stayed in this lovely cottage. It was a home away from home. Very comfortable and cozy. After long working days it was the perfect place to come back to and unwind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The pictures do not give credit to how beautifully appointed this property is. Kathleen's art is on display in every single corner, in a well planned and coordinated decorative design approach. Such a beautiful place for a calming getaway. The cottage is comfortable with a wonderful kitchen. The French cottage details and original art added to the ambience. The hosts were very helpful and kind.

This was by far the most well-appointed and lovely VRBO that we have ever stayed in. We loved the serenity, the forest surroundings, and most especially the design and decor of the cottage. It truly did feel luxurious, while at the same time comfortable and homey. Kathleen was readily available to answer any questions. The village, with pubs, restaurants, grocery store, etc. is only minutes away. We feel very fortunate to have discovered this unique lodging. It was an ideal place to celebrate our anniversary, and we hope to return soon.

Pictures don’t do this place justice! Just up the end of a cul-de-sac, you’re in the middle of the woods. Cute little cabin from the outside, but the inside… WOW, just amazing! Beautifully appointed and designed and feels much larger than it actually is. Lovely outdoor areas to sit and relax… we saw flocks of finches and a family of deer. Owner was extremely helpful, kind and available. The best VRBO we have stayed in, hands down! Wish we didn’t have to leave. Thank you for a truly winderful stay!

This place was incredible! It’s close enough to Victoria for convenience but far enough to feel like a peaceful escape. Nestled in the woods, it offers the perfect sense of seclusion. I’m definitely coming back!

This cottage is accurately described & shown in the photographs. Kathleen was lovely to communicate with, considerate and responsive. A lot of time & attention has been spent to ensure guests are comfortable and have everything they need. This was very much appreciated. The quality of workmanship, furnishings and decor is above the standard we have experienced in high end hotels/rentals. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding area; hikes, beaches, farms plus sidney and Victoria should you choose. The joy is returning to the cottage after a day of exploring to the peace & tranquility of the cottage grounds. The energy in the surrounding forest is palpable. If you are thinking of booking don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed.

We just returned from staying in Kat’s Cottage for five nights while visiting family. Every detail has been thought of and executed with style and sense of place. The cottage’s location can’t be beat, close to attractions and points of interest and an oasis to which you can retreat at the end of the day. The owners were communicative and helpful before, during, and after our visit. Would highly recommend, and can’t wait to return.

The property and the cottage was absolutely amazing! We didn't want to leave. The view from every direct was relaxing. We enjoyed morning coffee outside on the front porch. We saw dear, bunnies and birds bathing in the birdbath. Oh, and the kitchen was a dream! It was difficlut to decide on exploring the sites or staying in. We did a bit of both. We enjoyed

Great location and private setting. We were there 16 days. All kitchen utensils, many spices, cooking oil, appliances all in good shape. Some technical things: There were only two operated/screened windows on the same wall so no flow-through ventilation was possible. (we bought a fan) Bathroom shower has a low curb that extends into the middle of the room; it's odd and dangerous! Almost seriously injured myself tripping on it the first night. But after once, I didn't do it any more! In spite of the design issues, we will definitely book again.

The cottage is stunning and the woodland setting beyond gorgeous. We were visiting Victoria for a few days and wanted a quiet and peaceful setting. This cottage surpassed our expectations, only a short 30 minute drive to the city, while feeling like it is a million miles away. A truly relaxing experience, with very good communication from Kathleen. Thank you.
