Lovely cottage with large pool in gorgeous, landscaped garden

Nicky and Phil are the most friendly and warm-hearted hosts we've met so far! We've spent a lovely time there. Great communication, simple check in and very clean and well equipped cottage. Nothing to complain about! ? Thank you very much! At any time we had our full privacy

This has to be the best equipped and generously provisioned holiday cottage we have stayed in. Everything has been thought of - from swimming towels to beach cushions, a good range of cookware and books to read. There is a completely private seating area behind the cottage, as well as a lovely porch overlooking the garden, and seating around the pool. The garden is a feature of the property, a beautiful, restful space with an abundance of interesting insects and birds. Porec is a nice place for a stroll and the Basilica is well worth a visit. The cottage is well placed in the countryside close to the motorway exit, so ideal for further exploration, and Nicky and Phil are readily available if needed for recommendations and help, whilst happy to leave their guests to enjoy their stay at their own pace.

The Little House is perfectly located for peace and quiet, yet within easy reach of amenities. Very well equipped, stunning gardens and beautiful pool. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. Would definitely stay again, couldn’t fault it.

We enjoyed the stay in this wonderful lovely house. The house is clean, well equipped and lovely styled. The garden is so wonderful and we enjoyed the big pool. Nicky and Phil are so freindly and we did not disturb each other but could be go in contact everytime when we had a question. The pool and the garden we had nearly for ourselve. In the back of the house we had our private garden where we could have our breakfast and dinner with a BBQ. In the evening we could sit on the porch and enjyo the big garden. The pool we have used at least three times a day. The location in Istria is perfect star point from where we could reach every corner of Istria in a shortest time. Two days we have used to enjoy the garden and the pool, while the other days we went out for sightseeing, walking at the seaside, climbing up a mountain or did a motorboat ride arround Kap Kamenjak. Thank you very much to Nicky and Phil for the wonderful hospitility. We can very much recommend this house!

A perfect cottage for 2 located in a beautiful peaceful garden setting. Everything was as advertised, but better in reality and the owners who live onsite were charming and very welcoming but not intrusive. Overall a wonderful getaway property.

We couldn't have asked for any more from our stay. From start to finish, our hosts were so welcoming and warm. This was mine and my partner's first holiday away together and the cottage really was a little paradise. We had everything we needed and were surrounded by a quite spectacular garden and an amazing large private swimming pool. The cottage was also only a short drive from the Pula airport but felt lovely and secluded at the same time. As well as having our own parking space, our hosts also provided a few treats in the fridge for our arrival as well as a very useful information folder about local sites and drives which really helped us make the most of our holiday. There was even a bbq provided with all the equipment needed to cook a bit of a feast on a evening too if the mood took. All in all, we'll never forget our first holiday together, taking back numerous happy memories and highly recommend staying here...you won't regret it!!!!

The Little House is run by a really nice English couple, who also live on the premises (in the main house). The house is perfectly sized for couples and surrounded by a beautiful, blooming garden. One of the house's two terraces is facing towards nature, and you can see some deer while having a BBQ at sunset. On the other side of the house, you have access to a very well-maintained pool that is shared with the owners who respect your privacy, but are very funny and entertaining, if you are looking for a chat. The communication was easy and fast, nothing to complain. As the bathroom could do with a little renovation, and the Wifi was quite slow, we subtract one star, but would give 4.5, if we could. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Nicky and Phil!

Usually we go to a place just once. However, with Nicky and Phil's place we did not hesitate to make an exception. You will not regret it if you follow our example. If you look for a wonderful place to relax, look no further. Great hospitality, a beautiful garden, a big pool, many sights easy to reach - you do need a car, however - and nature all around you. Peaceful and quiet. The perfect spot to recharge your batteries. Very strongly recommended!

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at 'The Little House', a brilliant base to see the sights of Istria. The cottage was perfect for the two of us, it had everything we needed and was set in their stunning gardens. The pool is a great area to relax in after a days sightseeing. Nicky and Phil are excellent hosts and always on hand for advice on the area, nothing is too much trouble for them even rescuing us after we got lost on the way to them !

Located in the hamlet of Matulini, the Little House is perfectly situated for enjoying the peace of the Istrian countryside, whilst offering easy access to the coast, tourist attractions and restaurants. Our hosts, Nicky and Phil, have thought of pretty much everything to ensure guests want for nothing during their stay, provided a welcome pack if you hadn't managed to stop off at the supermarket enroute and were always on hand to give tips and advice if needed. The beautiful gardens and the pool were always lovely to come back to at the end of a day's sightseeing in Porec, Rovinj, Novigrad, Vsrar, Motovun or Groznjan. Highly recommended!
