Stayed Feb 1, 2020The house on Lotus Lane is as pictured with a studio floor plan, it is modern, clean, and has newer appliances. It is perfect for a couple or single traveler. The bed is comfortable and it also has a great deck that is perfect for relaxing mornings and evenings. The home is in a great central location for exploring the island. We found many beautiful beaches on both the Atlantic and on the Bight of Eleuthera that were very close to the rental. The owner, Kalin, was very helpful providing us with information. Also, the property managers Ericka and Scott were very nice and available to help and provide information during our stay. We flew into Governor's Harbour airport and it is just a few minutes out of the airport. We rented a car from Arthur Turnquest. He met us at the airport. We rented a mini SUV, that was perfect for a couple, great for exploring beaches, and had great gas mileage. I would recommend an SUV for exploring the beaches and don't worry about a newer one, as most beaches are found on curry roads with brush along the roads. You will want a higher clearance on your vehicle. Governor's Harbour has a couple stores, shops, and gas stations. We found a good store to the north in James Cistern called Big Rock. It gets shipments fresh shipments on Tuesday and Thursday and also takes credit cards if your total is at least $20. Also, we found bakeries in James Cistern and Governor's Harbour. We rented the home for the month of February 2020 and had a wonderful time. If you want a relaxing trip, beautiful beaches, less people, non-commercialized tropical island, and with a rural vibe, Eleuthera is a great place to explore. The island is very easy to explore Queen's Highway runs north and south on the island. Our stay was enriched by the many really nice people both travelers and residents that we met during our stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The location and quiet setting was really nice. The bungalow was updated, very clean, well maintained, and the newer appliances were a bonus! The bed and pillows were comfortable, we slept peacefully. The porch with chairs was awesome!! The addition of a small dining table/chairs(folding?) would be nice for meals. Kalin and Erika were very responsive and helpful ! Overall, we completely enjoyed our stay at Lotus Lane and would highly recommend this home to a single person or couple.
