Beautiful property. Top of the hill so can be windy but views well worth it. Nature reserve next to house beauriful. Would be good to be there in the summer when flowers out. Walk to pub, 1 mile away down very steep hill. Not possible to ascend when dark. Lovely wood fires and underfloor heating make sitting room very snug. Would have been nice yo have had matches left for first night.

This 1841 cottage is perfect for those seeking a little isolation from the outside world. Great views of the Peak and direct access to the Monsall Trail via nature trails, can’t recommend enough. Wasn’t a negative for us, but travelers beware that to access this remote spot does require about 5 minutes on a gravel road. Our Yaris made it no problem though.
