Stayed Oct 1, 2019Compact, ideal for two people. Beautiful location, clean and well equipped. We couldn’t have asked for more, and our dog loved it too! We would have no hesitation in either returning or recommending to others. Hosts Neil and Sue were helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and the surrounding countryside has many walks nearby. Hardly drove the car at all. A perfect break.

Stayed Apr 24, 2026The cottage is a wonderful place to stay. Perfect for two people and the hot tub is ideal after a day exploring. Sue was really friendly and helpful and Poppy was so welcoming. There is parking in front of the cottage and everything you need for a lovely break. We would happily return again, fantastic.

Stayed Apr 3, 2026On arrival, Sue greeted us, showed us around, fresh milk in fridge, tea, coffee, sugar. The best information folder I have seen, nothing left out. The cottage was lovely, amazing hot tub, use of our own patio, secured for our dogs use of part of her beautiful garden. Situation was amazing to explore our favourite North Yorkshire, Scarborough to Whitby, Sands End, the moors. Cannot rate highly enough. Fab stay!

Stayed Dec 30, 2025We had a lovely stay at this cute cottage cozy enough for 2. It was in a picturesque area and nice and quiet. The hot tub was a lovely touch after a stressful year to relax under the stars. The cottage was well equipped, very clean and Netflix was a great bonus. We spent New Year in the Ye Olde Forge Valley pub which had good food and lovely hosts and was a short taxi ride away with a local taxi company but book ahead as he does get very busy. Sue was lovely and friendly and happy to help with any questions we had and gave us info on places of interest. We will definitely be back

Stayed Jun 1, 2025Stayed a couple of nights as a base to go to the coast with our 2 dachshunds, location was very quiet and perfect for relaxing, property was secure for our pets, a couple of miles in either direction was a village with pubs, shops etc. Coast was only 20 mins drive. Overall a very pleasant stay...

Stayed Apr 29, 2024Warm friendly welcome from Sue. Cosy cottage with the benefit of a relaxing hot tub. The cottage is well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. Great location with lots to do within a short driving distance. Would definitely recommend.
