Lakeside Retreat Lake Lanier - Book now for summer fun at Lake Lanier!

Donna went above and beyond throughout our stay at the lake side home. There was a fridge stocked up with breakfast items and drinks, as well as a fully stocked kitchen. The bathroom was filled with all necessities and it also had a jetted tub. The Wi-Fi was excellent speed technology in every room was so cool. Everything was easy to use because there was instruction to everything. We had a blast using the grill outside. There was a binder with instructions on how to check out, amenities around us outdoor activities. Everything that we could need to expand our stay on the area. DoorDash did not find it Complicated to find the home when we had deliveries, Donna went above and beyond. I will definatly be returning!!!!

This was the best place I have ever booked, it stood out over every single place I have ever stayed. My husband and I were in town for a family wedding in Dawsonville, and we had several other family members who did not have as excellent of an experience as we did. Our room was spotlessly clean, but also so warm and inviting, and just perfect. Donna was the best host. She had messaged us before our stay to see what we liked to drink, eat, snack on, and she had everything and more than we asked for available. We were just looking for quiet, cozy and nature, and we got that and more. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family, and most definitely will stay there again when we need to visit family in the Atlanta area.

Donna is a wonderful host! Hands down the best I’ve experienced with a VRBO. Her Lakeside Retreat is well furnished with everything that’ll make you feel at home or even disappointed to have to leave. For any fisherman and/or golfer, this is the place! There’s a very nice golf course and public boat ramp to one of the best spotted bass lakes in the SE approx 5 minutes away. I’m already looking forward to coming back next year. Thank again, Donna!

We traveled here for hiking and also visiting the Roswell/Alpharetta area. This home was perfect for our stay and was very comfortable. There are many things to do within a 30 minute drive of the cabin and once you come back to the home it is very peaceful and quiet. The property was cleaned very well and the decorations matched the season which was fun to see. The manager is easy to talk to and is very helpful if there are any questions or if there is an issue. I highly recommend visiting this home and will be returning.

So many positive things to say about our stay. First and foremost, Donna is the ultimate hostess! She checked on us several times, and even stopped by to meet us. She contacted us prior to our arrival to find out what kind of snacks and drinks we like so that she could have them waiting for us. Not only were those items there, but she also had eggs, bacon, cheese, breakfast items, fresh fruit, and several types of sodas/teas/water for us to choose from already stocked in the fridge and freezer. The cabin was just as described and was perfect for our 2-person stay. We went for New Years, and it was still decorated for Christmas, which was an added touch of decor. When we arrived, lights were on, both TVs were on and tuned in to Fireplace Apps, candles were lit, and a personal note from Donna awaited us in the kitchen. My regret is that I can’t give her more than 5 stars. Book this location—you won’t regret it!

Host was the best! Very quick and helpful responses to our questions and requests. The rental was beautiful, comfortable and clean. We prepared breakfast every day and we found everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The location was quiet and felt safe. There are many restaurants and beautiful mountain areas to explore close by. We hope to return for another visit soon.

The cabin is great! Donna, the host, was a perfect host. She left supplies in the kitchen for our stay. She asked me in advance what we like to drink. She had drinks and food waiting when we arrived at the cabin. Rooms were decorated for Christmas and clean. We were celebrating our anniversary and she had a card and sign over the bed wishing us a happy anniversary. She made us feel special and we will always have fond memories of our time spent at the cabin.

Mrs. Donna is the ultimate host. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay would be memorable. Specific food and beverage preferences were inquired of beforehand and were available when I arrived at the cabin. Detailed instructions for my arrival were sent a week early. She checked in during my drive there and gave extra directions due to me arriving at dark. The cabin was clean, cozy and decorated for Christmas - a Southern Living winter wonderland. Mrs. Donna has everything you would need, or possibly may forget. The kitchen is fully equipped, the fridge is full and freezer is stocked. The location of the cabin is quiet and peaceful, but only a short drive for groceries or a fun day of shopping. It’s the perfect place for a couple’s getaway, or even a treat to oneself.

Without a question Donna is the best host/owner my wife and I have ever had. The property is excellent for Two people but Donna adds something special to our normal experience. The house is fully stocked with just about anything you need, including some foods and snacks. And Donna was always available for any questions or concerns we had. We highly reccomend the Host and property. And we will be back.

We have never felt so welcomed as we did here. The host exceeded every need and want. The space was perfect - clean, warm decor ( loved the birds and words of encouragement!), comfortable bed, huge shower, fluffy towels, bathrobes and a better stocked fridge than i have at home. Our anniversary celebration was a smashing success. Donna communicated clearly and even let us visit her home's pier to fish. She is a #1 Host!! The location is close to anything you need - restaurants, groceries and great lake views. Highly recommend to anyone. We would love to return.

What a little gem! We enjoyed peace and quiet and had a lovely rest at the Lakeside Retreat. We were spoiled by our host Donna who is very caring and her place were fully stock with everything you need. Our first impression, which was GREAT, lasted throughout our 2-day stay! If anything, it got GEATER, until the locking of the door, which closed out a wonder-filled, very personalized experience! The host was amazing, available for ANY need, (for which we had none, because this “little” cabin came with EVERYTHING, and more!) 3 B’s:the BED, the BATHROOM, and the BIRD-themed environ, was amazing! The kitchen was completely supplied and stocked! Our Wish is to return!

The reviews here are 100% correct. Every little detail is taken care of. The communication and ease of renting is just wonderful. I have been a member for many years and have never seen as many amenities or a better stocked kitchen and pantry. It was amazing.

Donna went above and beyond to make sure our Anniversary Trip was special - she even had a Happy Anniversary banner over the bed. My eyes filled with tears as soon as I opened the door - it was perfect in every way. The placement of Christian wall art and small inspirational signs throughout the house affirmed that we were exactly where we needed to be to celebrate and reflect on 49 years of marriage. We laughed because my husband said “It looks like you decorated this house.”Her attention to details, generosity of providing snacks, beverages, and even breakfast items were such blessings. She checked on us every day to make sure we didn’t need anything. As for the property, pictures can’t adequately show how beautiful and unique this property is. We were surprised how quiet it was and spent a lot of time sitting on the porch or the side deck. This was the first trip we’ve taken for our anniversary that we were content just staying around the house; we did no sightseeing. Donna- there are no words adequate to describe our experience. Our cottage was as lovely as it looked in the photos. It was comfortable, clean and beautifully appointed, with our comfort in mind. The refrigerator was well stocked (and even included the wine of my choice!), and there were fluffy, soft robes provided. Donna spared no detail to insure our comfort and enjoyment.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We felt right at home. It has a cozy cabin feel and appears just as presented in photos. There are plenty of entertainment options nearby. Donna is amazing and makes sure that you are well taken care of.

We loved everything about this property. Its perfect for 2 people and located just a short distance from the things we wanted to do. For us, that included Gibbs Gardens, Amicalola Falls, Dahlonega, Georgia Racing Hall of Fame and plenty of antique shops. You won't find a better host either! Donna had the refrigerator stocked with our favorite beverages and plenty of breakfast items to choose from. It was such a treat to stay here!

Such a lovely place with great decorations and very cozy. Everything was amazing, comfy and more thoughtfulness than any other place we have stayed at.

From the minute we booked Donna has been the most amazing and attentive host. We arrived early which was not a problem. We opened the door to perfection, from the beautiful aroma to the “Happy Anniversary “ banner, flowers, a welcome message and Card…. Just amazing!The Cabin was perfect in every way with a stocked Refrigerator with our favorite drinks and coffee creamer And more food then we good ever eat.The bed is so comfy and we slept like babies after sitting out by the fire until late in the evening listening to the sounds of the forest.Donna was only a text away and checked in with us to make sure all of our needs were met.we also took a nice nap at her dock on the lake and got to meet her personally. I could go on all day, but will end with we wish we could give higher then a 10/10 because it exceeded all expectations! We hope get back as soon as possible.

The VRBO owner is welcoming and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Lots of stocked snacks, drinks, and a great variety of Keurig coffee flavors. The cottage is just the right size for two. Nice bathroom, kitchen and comfortable bed. The location at the lake is scenic and Gainesville and Dahlonega are not far away.

My husband and I decided to take a short trip to relax and enjoy time together in Georgia. We decided on this property and were not disappointed. Donna, our hostess, was amazing. She checked to make sure we had everything we needed each day and was so nice. The listing stated that the property would have items stocked in the kitchen but in reality everything you may want including drinks, snacks, coffee, breakfast foods, frozen foods, and more is already in the kitchen when you arrive. We were shocked and so grateful! The cabin was super clean and decorated very cute. It is located in a great area close to many things to do including wineries, waterfalls, hiking, and shopping. We will be back again soon! We loved everything about it!

This cabin is awesome! The owner has made this cabin a welcoming haven from the fall decorations, inspiring plaques on the wall, instrumental music playing as we entered down to goody bags for each of us—a handwritten board welcoming us as well as providing our favorite drinks. Definitely a 5 star stay.

I booked this for my fiancé and I to get away for his birthday and as a last rest before he started a new job. Donna was extremely responsive throughout the process. She asked about our preferences for coffee too! We arrived to a beautifully fall decorated retreat including a happy birthday banner and treats. We enjoyed our stay. There was nothing we needed that wasn't provided. The area is extremely peaceful and I even got some work done sitting on the deck enjoying small but nice view of the lake. We even had time for a romantic dinner at nearby winery.

Loved this little cabin! The host is unbelievable, the best host I have ever experienced. She is extremely communicative, the kitchen and bathroom were fully stocked with EVERYTHING! She went above and beyond and left a bottle of wine, chocolate, and a happy birthday sign for my birthday. Gave us great recommendations for some local wineries and things to do. There is a gas grill outside that has everything you need, just bring your own meat and veggies! So easy! Very safe neighborhood, great neighbors, close to many attractions, like Helen, wineries, and Dahlonega. Highly highly recommend! I will definitely stay here again Next time I am in the area. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

My husband and I spent the week at Lakeside Retreat and were very impressed! I can honestly say that everything exceeded our expectations. The room was very nice and clean including everything needed from toiletries, snacks, comfortable outdoor sitting options to relax, fire pit, etc. I honestly could not think of anything else that someone would need. The location was great and easily found with plenty of space that enabled us to park our truck and boat trailer on site. We spent a lot of our time on Lake Lanier and the location was close to a boat ramp. I also enjoyed running/walking in the neighborhood. The host Donna was AMAZING! She was very helpful and made us feel welcome. Her husband Ashley was very helpful also. Everyone in the neighborhood were so nice and friendly and made us feel right at home. We also enjoyed meeting the hosts dog Piper! We have been to lake Lanier a few years ago and stayed somewhere else. This experience at Lakeside Retreat was perfect and we will definitely be back to stay. I would not stay anywhere else after staying at Lakeside Retreat!! Thank you Donna for making our summer vacation so wonderful !

We loved this rental on Lake Lanier. We were celebrating our 28th Anniversary and we were not disappointed. As soon as we stepped into the one room studio, we were met with a beautifully decorated room and a banner over the bed celebrating our special day. Donna, our amazing hostess, had prepared snacks and drinks to bless our time there. She also was always quick to respond to our questions and needs. She even came to meet us at the cottage which was an additional blessing. We loved the outdoor areas on the decks and the jetted tub. We will definitely be back again!
