Lakeside Grove Cottage - Perfect Lakeside Village/Beach Location

A real gem! Spacious inside and out, uniquely landscaped garden/yard including an outdoor screened in building that was huge and a treat to hang out in and take in nature from the indoors. Plenty of restaurants, breweries, nature, lake activities all nearby.

Cannot rave enough about Lakeside Grove! It is a gem! Cottage is well appointed and obviously loved. Clean, inviting and had everything we could wish for. Close enough to walk to a small beach from cottage and easy access to larger beaches, great restaurants and a bike trail right outside your front door practically. So glad we got to stay here! Hope to come back many times!

Owner very responsive throughout process. Lots of spaces to enjoy on the property- summer house all screened, fire pit, front screened porch on main house. Lot is very wooded. Great jumping off point for area activities. Well appointed kitchen which we used a lot.

I enjoyed staying here so much. The host is gracious and you can tell fond family memories have been made here throughout the years. There is more here than the pictures suggest. The yard is great and the proximity to the beach is top notch. For those that know the area, I'm happy to report that Flagship fish market is alive and well under new ownership. Book your stay here. this was such a fun stay! it’s really close to a lot of neat food and antique shops. the outdoor space was truly the winner of it all and it was such a relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Lakeside Cottage! Bill was a terrific host, and the house was clean, cozy, and charming. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves all weekend, and there was a great combination of indoor and outdoor spaces to hang out. We usually travel with our 4 kids, and the space would have been big enough for all 6 of us, but it was very nice to have room to spread out for just the two of us! We used two of the bikes available with the property, which were in good condition and a very nice way to spend a warm fall afternoon. We enjoyed walking to the beach, exploring the many nearby natural areas. The fall colors were in peak form, and we were glad to be in Lakeside, which is a little more secluded and quiet than the nearby beach towns. We had a great stay and will look to stay here again when we're next back in SW Michigan.

Loved the house! It’s a charming cottage. Everything as described. Spent the week (3 girlfriends) and the house worked perfectly for us. Wonderful screen porch. Beds and linens were very comfortable. We are familiar with the area and the location is convenient to everything in the area. (There is an adjacent train track so you need to be ready for the train noise a couple of times a day). Cooked at home a lot and loved having the eat in Kitchen as well as dining room.

Really enjoyed the cottage. Very comfortable beds and a wonderful front porch for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The owner has a lot of amenities including bikes in the shed that my daughter and her friend loved being able to use and a fun inter tube we took down to the beach!

This is an unusual property. The kitchen is the first room you enter, followed by the dining room, then the living room. It's all straight back. The three bedrooms are all on one side. The whole house is one floor. The sq. footage would make it seem small, but the house is quite functional. TV works without any trouble, there is plenty of bedding and the garden area is stunning. Lots of tiny villages around for driving, shopping, and dining. Property manager was very easy to work with. It worked out very well for the four of us.

We stayed four nights with our small dog and used this place as a home base. Everything was as described. This place is rustic, so there are cobwebs, the outside areas are weathered, etc… The house is located near an active train track, which can sometimes be noisy. Neighbors were nice and quiet. The outdoor area was perfect for our dog. The host was very nice and responded quickly to questions.

Annual girls trip to Michigan was made even more special by this adorable property. So cozy and comfortable. We loved every minute of it.

My partner and I enjoyed a lovely, restorative stay at the Lakeview cottage! The kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms are well appointed and the porch and garden/yard are perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning or s'mores at night by the fire pit. The summer cottage was a great touch and so cozy. Ample books to borrow and read during the stay too! The property is a short walk to Pier Beach through a charming neighborhood and is easy to get to all the shops and restaurants off the main road. We felt fully recharged and at peace during our stay and would absolutely book again!
