Lakeside Cottage - upgraded hot tub! - near KY Bourbon Trail

Visited the area for the Bourbon Festival, we stayed 5 nights and the host thought of everything. If we needed it, that had it there for us. The cottage was beautiful and clean; there more the enough towels, anything in the kitchen we could possibility need. We can’t wait to go back next year.

We selected this property for its central location to bourbon distilleries. We hired a guide to drive us around and they had no trouble getting into the resort area through the gate. It is quite a beautiful location, next to Taylor Lake, with a marina nearby, where you can rent boats, etc. There are trails you can walk down to the lake or the cove, just down the street. There is also a pool down the street, which is open during the summer months. There’s a beautiful hot tub on the back deck of the cabin, which we thoroughly enjoyed after long days of sightseeing. The cabin itself was super clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you’d need for cooking. There are lots of board games for family fun.We had a fantastic and memorable stay, and are already planning our return trip to this cabin!

The house was clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was hot and relaxing. The view and the trails were great also.

The location of this cottage was ideal for our Bourbon Trail adventures. The hot tub was extremely enjoyable, and the host had beach towels for us to use. I would stay here again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this home. The house itself was beautiful and the perfect size for what we needed. Everything felt modern and well thought out, with updated technology and entertainment options in every room, which made it really comfortable to relax and unwind.One thing we all kept talking about was the water pressure. It was incredible. After a long day out, a great shower with that kind of pressure was a small luxury that made a big difference.The views were stunning as well. Waking up and watching the sunrise over the lake was easily one of the highlights of the trip. It made mornings peaceful and memorable.The hot tub was another standout feature. It was always the perfect temperature and was especially nice on the colder nights. Sitting in hot water under the night sky after a full day of exploring was the kind of relaxation we were hoping for.We also really appreciated the welcome kit with coffee. That small touch made the first morning easy and welcoming. The location was great too. It was not far from the Bourbon Trail, which was perfect for our plans, and having a gas station next door with beer and a liquor store was surprisingly convenient for grabbing drinks without having to drive far.Overall, this place was the perfect choice for me and my three cousins for their March birthday excursion. The home, the views, the comfort, and the location all came together to make the trip unforgettable. We would absolutely stay here again.

This cabin came complete. The hot tub was hot. Towels were provided plenty of games and videos. The fireplace was beautiful. It was a perfect place for us. The owner was very accommodating.

Though unexpectedly cold outside, the inside was warm and inviting. The kitchen was big enough to prepare our lighter fare but could have done anything. The rooms were clean and odor free. The shower pressure was intense but awesome. The hot tub was a delightful warm spot in the cold. The caretaker was quick with responses to our questions.

We had absolutely no wants during this stay! If I’m honest the place surpassed our expectations. The little resort was very nice and quiet as well as private. There were plenty of towels and the kitchen was well equipped. For someone considering this for a bourbon trail type trip, definitely book it! The centralized location was perfect. It’s right in the middle of the “bourbon triangle”. Can’t recommend this place enough!

This place is so cute. Off the beaten path. It’s a doable drive to Keeneland, Lexington, area distilleries, and Bardstown. Very clean and comfortable.

Our 6 day stay at cottage 26 was super great! It was clean, comfortable, had all we needed! The host, Jeremie, was very helpful, easy to reach and communicate with! The accomodations were perfect for us! I would highly recommend this place to my friends so they can relax and be safe! 5 star rating!

This property was perfect for our bourbon trail trip. It’s central to Louisville, Frankfort and Bardstown. Everything was comfortable and we especially appreciated the hot tub at the end of our long days.

We have stayed in multiple properties at this resort, and this one was by far our favorite! Not only was it stocked beyond expectation with games and supplies, but it was so very clean and comfortable. I would give it 10 stars if possible the communication by the host was also exceptional although we had no issues to report, they still made sure we were comfortable and checked in.

We really enjoyed the house! The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you could need. The host was very helpful and easy to contact!

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was a perfect location to explore the Bourbon Trail during the day (went to 5 different distilleries) and then relax in the cottage in the evening, especially the hot tub. It was very well appointed - it had everything we needed.

Spent a week loving the Hot tub and the view! The house is easy, clean, and well maintained. One of the many reasons we chose this one was for the level entry walkway and the new hot tub. The host is quick to respond and helpful. The kitchen is well stocked with crocks, pots, pans and utensils (and some typical spices and such in the cabinets). Master bed is firm and there's plenty of pillows for you to find your sweet spot. The hot tub was the biggest draw and it did not disappoint! This is our 2nd visit to this resort community. This home has a great view of the lake we thoroughly enjoyed. We also love how central it is to the surrounding areas, towns, country roads, cities.

This place was everything and more! The owner called us the day that we were scheduled to arrive to let us know that the house was ready and that it was not affected by all of the flooding that Louisville had. This was super impressive! He then was quick to let us know about good places to eat and fun things to do.The house was fantastic! Super clean. Had everything we needed, even some snacks for the kids! My absolute favorite thing is a glass of ice water and we arrived to ice in the freezer and cold glass cups in the freezer…totally made my day! Hot tub was clean and hot. Grocery store is just right down the road. Close to so many excellent attractions. HIGHLY recommend!

We enjoyed the stay

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was incredibly clean, the king size bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was nicely equipped. Then, of course, there's the view of the lake.We visited when the weather was cool, so we didn't rent a boat. However, the trails at the park were great and were a quick drive from the cottage. We also enjoyed a couple hours in downtown Taylorsville.The owner was responsive to our questions and requests and accommodated us well.We plan to return in the future.

Had a great stay here,views in the winter from the hot tub were awesome. Hot tub was a great way to relax after adventuring with the family.Cabin fit the needs of our family very well. Close enough to things we wanted to do but far enough away to not feel like we were in the mix of everything. It was quiet and comfortable. One negative we would say was the visible dust in the cabin in various areas of the cabin but all in all a great stay, would recommend for anyone visiting the area.

I was in KY visiting a sick uncle, who happened to pass away the day I arrived. This place was just the place I needed. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The house is in a gated, private community and is away from the busy cities but close to this cute little town that has bowling, ice cream shop, tavern, an antique store, and a great Mexican restaurant. There is a gas station and grocery store close by. The house is away from the busy cities. The view of the Lake was spectacular especially from the hot tub and lake access is just around the corner. The host was amazing and answered the questions I had even prior to arrival. I can not wait to go back.

The cottage made for a perfect weekend getaway. It was very clean, supplied everything you could need and the owner was more than helpful to make this a special weekend for us. We plan to come back with family next time.

I am a 65 YO woman and I stayed at this cottage by myself the week of 10/22/24. I am pleased to give a 5-star rating because: this cottage was easy to find and located in a pleasant, quiet area. I felt safe in this cottage; it was very clean; bed slept wonderful; water pressure and temp were great; cottage looks exactly like pictures; everything worked as expected, and my communications with the property manager were easy. This area is wonderful if you want peace and quiet, close to the lake and Taylorsville. I appreciate the plentiful towels, etc., having such small things as Kleenex, shampoo and lotions was a plus and appreciated. I would lease this cottage again without hesitation.

My sister, brother-in-law, my husband and I stayed here for a weekend birthday/bourbon trail getaway, and I can't say enough about how wonderful everything was!! We loved the location, and the neighborhood is quiet, and the views are beautiful. We immediately felt at home when we walked inside and found that everything that we needed was already there. We enjoyed sitting outside in the morning and evenings and saw plenty of deer and squirrels. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay - we are already planning for our next weekend getaway here!!

We had a wonderful time. We were able to take short trips to the surrounding distilleries. In the evening enjoy a soak in the hot tub followed by a great night's sleep!

The bed is amazing, the hot tub is huge and perfect for relaxing. The pool is a very quick walk from the cabin and it was not busy at all. The location was perfect for bourbon tasting if you want to hit the mist areas. Bardstown Area is 30min, Lexington 45 min and Makers mark (highly recommend) 45 min. These are all in opposite directions so it’s centrally located. We easily hit 14 distilleries in 3 days This may be a yearly trip it was perfect and I’m really glad I didnt do a tour we saw much more on our own.

We enjoyed our week stay in this great cabin. Everything was as advertised. We had everything we needed for preparing meals, and relaxing in comfort. The hot tub was wonderful, and the pool is just a short walk away. Our host was quick to answer any questions, and was very helpful. You won't be disappointed!

Fives across all categories, but I especially want to point out the wide varieties of books, games, and movies that are available in this cottage. We didn't have time to enjoy them this time, but I have no doubt that we'll be back.

Our family stayed for five nights. The cottage was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with necessities and activities. We enjoyed visiting the community pool, and the hot tub was a great way to end each day. The resort is close to the marina, and Louisville is a short drive away. The host responded quickly to all communications.

Greatly enjoyed our stay close enough to visit attractions in Louisville but far enough away from the busy city to enjoy the lakeside and peace of the country. Cottage had everything we needed. Kids loved the board games… lots of family time off of screens! Spent time at the pool, in the hot tub, fishing, and hiking trails. Grocery and restaurants conveniently close by. Owner and property manager both quick to respond and answer questions.
