Stayed Jan 1, 1We loved every moment of our stay at Lakeside Cottage. Hosts Carol and Peter were warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation was superb- beautiful views, home comforts, lovely welcome with a loaf of Peter’s homemade bread. Comfortable beds and furniture, lovely and quiet, lots of wildlife to keep us occupied. Don’t be put off by the steep little hill on the track going in/out… it’s worth it! We would definitely go back in a heartbeat!

Stayed Jan 1, 1Very well equipped property of high standard. Beautiful location, although approach on narrow lanes and partly unmade roads made access interesting! Lovely to sit out on crows nest watching the wildlife and occasional fisherman. Good location for visiting National Trust properties and Sudley Castle. Just a shame at time of visiting so many roadworks around! Owners of property very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed here for three nights while working in the area and it was a very welcome change from the normal hotels. The location of the property is stunning with wonderful views of the valley and the lakes as well as being very quiet. Peter and Carol are fantastic hosts and Lakeside Cottage has been prepared to an extremely high standard with countless touches that show they really care - I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Almost everything about this place is fabulous. Despite being so close to the Gloucester town center, the lakeside cottage is an untouched and unexplored gem in the Cotswolds. The picturesque view right outside your window includes lakes surrounded by hills, as if someone had painted them there. There was even a bird's nest, which was like the cherry on top. The interior of the house is perfect for two families, with almost everything you need, including WiFi. However, the best feature of the house is the restrooms—they are massive and spacious. The house is decorated in a charming Victorian style and includes a collection of books, CDs, a hearth, and a television. If you are a book lover, don’t miss the chance to read the homeowner's authored books—yes, Peter is a writer himself. In fact, this place can inspire the writer in you if you stay long enough. I’m glad I found this place and look forward to returning very soon.
