Right on the water, very quiet. Comes with 4 shared tandem kayaks, 4 kiddo kayaks, 4 paddleboards, propane grill, dock, picnic tables, fire ring, swim raft and lily pad. 7 miles to Frankfort and 8 to Beulah. All linens provided except beach towels; beds made.
60' of sandy beach at the dock area, and a seawall protects the rest of the shore.
Beds are queen, and a double/twin bunk, plus a roll away twin bed.
Beautiful views from picture windows and private screened in porch overlooking the water. Close to Crystal Mountain, Arcadia Bluffs, Baldy and Elberta Dunes, Green Point Nature Trail, Fruithaven Nature Trail, Arcadia Marsh Preserve, and Upper Herring Lake Nature Preserve which encompasses half the shoreline of Upper Herring Lake.
Cherry orchard and rolling hill across Herron Rd.
Free wifi, new smart TV. Gorgeous sunsets. Upper Herring Lake is quiet and pristine, half the shoreline is a nature preserve. Very dark at night, thousands of stars.
Not worth the price. Grounds unkept, grass not cut, area cluttered. Cabin in disrepair. Not a resort feel at all. More like low rent trailer park. Will not return.
We really enjoyed the lake the paddle boards and kayaks. Short drive the beach! I wish the grill worked, it was full of water and rusted. That would be my only suggestions for improvement.
Great location on the water with just a few other rentals. Wonderful for all ages with swimming, wildlife and paddle boards/kayaks to keep busy. Lots of nearby attractions.
This property was clean and right on the lake. The beds are very firm, so if you need extra support you better bring it. They also have access to kayaks, paddle boards, and row boats. All in all it was a pretty good stay.
Property is quiet and peaceful. 15 minute scenic drive to town. Nice assortment of kayaks and SUPs. Communication with the owner was great! Only complaint was one night we had an issue with small flying bugs around the air conditioner that were attracted to light. We were told they’re harmless.
This is right where you want to be. On a beautiful lake with spectacular sunsets, near Lake Michigan, hiking, dunes and fun. New home, right on the lake. We loved the kayaks. Saw herons and eagles. We didn’t want it to end
We had such a great experience! The property, lake and cabins were beautiful. The lake had a great swimming area, and they had kayaks, paddle boards and row boats to use which was an awesome bonus!!! Lake Michigan is less than 15 minutes away and there were many hiking trails very close by. The hosts were so nice and greeted us when we arrived. I would highly recommend this property!
What a gem. The place was clean and nicely decorated. Great view from inside. The best part was the dock and sitting outside to watch the sunset. Very quiet location. The kayaks and paddleboards were a huge bonus! Used them everyday and kids loved it.
