Lakefront Lavonia Cottage w/ 2-Story Dock!

Little things here and there that made this property unclean. There were dead nats sticking to the hood above the stove and on the wall next to the TV. There were cobwebs in the corners of the primary bathroom. As I can appreciate the big sticky pad behind the primary nightstand it was full of bugs. Would have been a good idea to change that it before guests arrive. Even though there was a storm 2 nights prior to, the deck was full of debris and not blown or swept off. The decor was a hodgepodge of furniture bc we had plenty of time to look at everything around the house as there was no internet or TV from the storm, which was not their fault. Just not up to the standards of other rentals I’ve stayed in comparison. On the positive note, they had power after the storm and the shower gel smelled amazing!

pros: peaceful location, facility is clean with all amenitiesIf there is any con, some maintenance is required, the sliding glass door is in need of repair, the retaining wall in the pavilion need a drain, several boards in the deck need replacing, otherwise a great place for a peaceful rest.

We had a wonderful stay, and would return! The view was beautiful, with a calm quiet cove!

Beautiful location with easy access to the lake. Property can use little updates, but it was spacious for our family of 7.

The house was great to accommodate our multiple generational family and the shelter area was perfect for s’mores. The dock provided a fun outdoor area for swimming and fishing. The location is so close to Harbor Light Marina where we rented a pontoon and got takeout.We hope to vacation here again.

Nice house and convenient location to the boat ramp and marina. Worked well for our family to enjoy the lake! House could use some maintenance but everything worked just fine.

Overall our stay was good, and we had a wonderful time. Home needs to be updated. Wood floor keeps moving leaving gaps. Parts of the dock need to be fixed. Couch is worn out, oven was dirty and no propane, however when I texted they had us a tank in 20 minutes. Otherwise the home was clean. Difficult to find things as it really needs to be organizedThe lake was fantastic and we had .kayaks to use that was amazing.

Nice and quiet with pretty good fishing

Clean & comfortable home with wonderful outdoor spaces to enjoy the beautiful views and the lake. Loved using the kayaks to enjoy the lake and sitting and relaxing on the deck overlooking the lake. Good quality bedding and towels as well and well stocked kitchen.

We had a great stay, and look forward to coming back for another stay in the future. The only thing we didn’t like was the steep driveway. The walk back from the lake was rough. Other than that it was perfect, and we thank you!!

The place is really nice and fit our needs perfectly. The location and size of the place was great. We own rental property ourselves so we are familiar with how it works and what people expect. The out door furniture was not useable. It was so dirty, you could not even sit on the deck. Which we were meeting other family members at another house so to us wasn't a big deal but you need to know. Then the kids room in the bunk beds there were still candy wrappers from other guests left along the edges where the mattresses do not meet the frames. Then there were some stains on the Duvet covers in the kid's room as well. We just pulled them back and would not use them. They used blankets they brought. We really did like the place and would come again but you cannot correct things if you don't know about them, so we like to let you know. It is just a cleaning issue.
