Lakefront Cottage Retreat w/ Private Dock, Paddle Boards, Fire Pit, Sunset Views

Owners really cared about tenants and were responsive to questions and needs.

Within 20 minute of check-in, I informed the owner of the many gaps in the ceiling with exposed insulation and his response was it is old and he sees no need for repairs. Having lived in numerous homes, some built in the 1800s, exposed Insulation above the beds, in the kitchen, and living room is not acceptable. Owner has only offered 1 night refund or our 3 night booking. If the description had said gaps in the ceiling with exposed insulation we would never have booked here. Please see pictures of gaps-- that the owner says are normal and ok..

The area was beautiful and there were fun restaurants and a winery nearby. The cabin was thoughtfully stocked with most things anyone might need while away from home. We had some fun with the kayaks and trying out one of the paddle boards.

“Le Hut” was a wonderful spot for our weekend getaway! Everything was neat and cozy. We had a wonderful time and would 10/10 recommend a stay!

We came to “Le Hut” to celebrate my mom’s 68th birthday. She had never been to Door Co. “Le Hut” was the perfect spot to come back to after a day of adventures. The cabin is clean and cozy, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

Cute cottage, clean and well stocked! Beautiful lake lot, with paddle boards, kayaks, yard games and nice fire pit. Nice location. Had a great time and our family of four really enjoyed our stay.

The property was easy to find. Everything was very coean and organized. The views were phenomenal. Highly recommend staying here.

Great location, beautiful lake view, quiet, and private! Convenient home base for traveling around Door County. Host was easy to contact during our stay. Nice to have a dog friendly option with a big yard. The listing mentioned a coffee maker which was not present, showed photos of extra hand towels/washcloths which were not available, and we only had access to the kayaks for the last 24 hours of our 3-night stay. Not the end of the world, but we would have appreciated a more accurate listing so that we could have planned/packed these desired items accordingly. Also be aware that if the water softener regenerates in the middle of the night, it is very loud.
