Lake Murray Cottage Private Dock and Ramp

This property is just a perfect piece of southern charm. The cottage is beyond what I expected and much more. Just waking up to the beautiful sunrise while drinking my coffee on the porch every morning is just tranquility at its finest. If your lucky enough like I was you might even catch a glimpse of some deer while your there. I will continue booking this little home away from home while I visit my grandmother in Chapin.

Wonderful, clean, spotless getaway cottage with boat dock nestled between Newberry and Chapin SC and near Deher State Park. Very cozy and romantic and the heating and cooling system was excellent. Wonderful appliances and complementary cookware, eating utensils and some coffee‘s with coffee makers and teas were available complementary for us. Beautiful view and fishing right off the dock. If staying for a while at Lake Murray, hiring a guide for where the fish are hiding may be a good idea. Ideal setting for a couple looking to relax and enjoy a very cozy, comfortable time on the lake. It was great to have a boat ramp and dock. Highly recommended. Will be back!!!

We arrived to an impeccably clean, comfortable and wonderfully decorated cottage. Host Brian made sure we were set up comfortably for our weekend stay. The views are breathtaking! I enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor rockers watching and listening to wildlife around the lake. Coffee in hand from the coffee bar of course! My husband enjoyed fishing from the private dock.First morning he caught a bass ( safely released) with his fly rod, which I caught on video! Cottage is in a great location close to restaurants on the lake (live music), and shopping. We look forward to another stay soon!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Pictures match cottage exactly. Very clean, decorated so cute, comfortable bed. We hope to come back each year. Very quiet and relaxing, having your own dock is so nice. Host was great. Definitely recommend.

We booked this cottage through VRBO because of its incredibly convenient location—just one minute from Southwind Acres, where our son’s wedding was held. It was the perfect solution so the bride and groom didn’t have to make a 45-minute drive home after such a long and special day.They were absolutely thrilled with the space! The cottage was clean, beautiful, and set right on the water at Lake Murray, which made it even more memorable.Thank you for helping make their day extra special—we truly appreciate it!

Great property for a getaway.

This was my second stay at Brian’s place, and it was just as great as the first. The photos and reviews really do speak for themselves! Brian is incredibly responsive and accommodating with every request. I ran into a major issue with my boat trailer during this trip, and Brian immediately connected me with someone who got it fixed quickly, saving my fishing trip. They are wonderful people and we will definitely be back!

The weekend was wonderful!! The house was spectacular along with the views!! We loved everything about it!! The host was wonderful and very responsive and informative!! We will definitely be back!!

We absolutely loved this place! It was the complete, perfect package of what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary and my husband's 83rd birthday. The house was fabulous and the scenery was amazing. We fished from the dock, had drinks on the patio, and just enjoyed the comfort and beauty of our surroundings. It was amazing. We're so glad that we stayed here.

Enjoyed everything about it love having my own private dog and boat ramp and going to the marina and Mexican restaurant to eat from the boat very clean cozy and modern! would stay there again!

This is a great cottage on Lake Murray near family. Highly recommend.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at this beautiful lake house. Spent our time out on the boat during the day, exploring and fishing. Spent the evenings relaxing in the rocking chairs watching the lake and wildlife. The private ramp and dock made it nice to keep our boat on the water without leaving the house. It is in a perfect location in a inlet away from all the boat traffic. Brian was great communicator and we will definitely be back.

I highly recommend this cottage! Right on the lake - you can sit by the fire pit or on the rockers and take in the view. The cottage was immaculately clean and has the cutest coffee bar area! We were visiting USC and wanted a bit of a getaway in nature and this was perfect. It is about 45-50 min from USC, so not super close, but it was perfect for us.

Brian was super quick to respond to questions. Once we arrived we were super surprised with this adorable little cottages charm and cleanliness. It was a quick weekend stay for a wedding but it was absolutely perfect! Thank you Brian!

We loved our weekend, the beautiful view from the back porch, the private lake access for my husband’s boat, the love in detail of the home, its interior design and modern simplicity, the hidden coffee bar, and the friendliness of the hosts. My only criticism are some portions of the neighborhood, which seem not have been taken care of for a long period of time. However, the next-door house and neighbors could not have been any nicer and welcoming. We will be back for sure.
