Kookaburra Cottage Daylesford - walk to town - free wifi - sleeps 4

This is a lovely little cottage. There is a well fenced yard for dogs and an outdoor veranda for socialing in fine weather. It was freezing in Daylesford, and we were very snug inside with excellent heating and a fireplace. A very fine spot for an autumn retreat. And the bathroom is very state of the art. Much enjoyed.

Annie is so welcoming and relaxed. Our stay was during a heatwave and we were to pleased to arrive and find the air conditioning was on so we arrived into a cool space. We had access to all the necessary accessories to make our stay with our dog Toby better than we had imagined. The cottage is perfect! Walking distance into Daylesford is just a 5 minute jaunt. So pleased we found kookaburra cottage and will plan another visit when it’s just a bit cooler

If you are looking for a place close to town and has all the amenities you require and you can bring your dog, then this is the place.Had a great stay with the family.

From the moment I booked our stay here Annie was fantastic with communication and flexibility. The house was beautifully warm when we arrived and everything was perfect. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the linen was truly luxurious! We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely little house which could not have been any closer to the main street of Daylesford. We walked everywhere and everything was at our fingertips!

This cute little cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable 2-night stay.Comfy beds and couches, everything you needed to cook and prepare meals. Annie's texts prior to and upon check out were super thoughtful and her recommendations on where to go were spot on! Also having the heater on for us upon arrival was a lovely gesture.Will def stay here again!

Kookaburra Cottage was the perfect getaway stay for us. Close to the local shops, clean, great bathroom and king size bed and Annie was the perfect host getting an early check-in for us and even leaving a little celebration hamper as she knew we were coming to Daylesford to celebrate my 50th Birthday! Neat and secure backyard for the dogs to run around as well. We've stayed here before and the best recommendation is that we will be staying here again next year!

Perfect set up for girls escape.

My friend, dog and I had a most enjoyable stay at Kookaburra Cottage. Annie was a wonderful communicator and the property had all the amenities we needed with comfortable beds , great heating and a fenced yard for my dog.An added bonus was the location. Easy walking distance to Vincent Street and the lake and Botanical Gardens.I would definitely recommend a stay at Kookaburra Cottage.

Easy acess to both the lake and the township. The house is set up well, comfortable and warm during our winter stay. The yard is perfect for our two pooches and the property manager was fantastic to deal with.

Charming cottage in the heart of Daylesford. Walking distance to the Main Street, Farmer’s Market, Daylesford Market and Lake Daylesford. I will certainly be coming back to stay here again.

What a wonderful place to stay Close to town that you can walk to. Beautiful lake for long walks and everything you need for a relaxing stay.We went for a girls weekend trip (4). We each had a bed which was perfect and because we had a house, we could relax in the lounge with our nibbles and wine.The kitchen was well equipped with coffee/tea, plunger and other bits and pieces.Ducted heater was lovely but the fireplace was amazing.We stayed 3 nights.Highly recommended

Idyllic Kookaburra cottage was perfectly positioned between the Main Street and Lake. Allowing us to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We arrived to a beautifully temperate house on a fresh Daylesford day. This introduction summed up our stay; full of gorgeous thoughtful touches - plus the most dreamy comfortable beds. Myself and a couple of my friends came up and stayed for the weekend to relax in between study, work and school holidays! The property was perfect to get cozy and curl up with a book, and the perfect distance away from all the beautiful things that Daylesford has to offer! We had a fabulous time and would come stay with Annie again.

Nice and clean comfortable bed only thing we noticed was the noisy ducted heating

Had a lovely 2 night stay with my partner and my two staffs at the beautiful kookaburra cottage.The two bedroom cottage is beautifully presented, and well appointed. The ducted heating worked well, as the weather had only turned cold the day before our arrival. It (the ducted heating) was rather noisey at night when trying to sleep. The bed was very comfortable with extra blankets if required.The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of crockery, mugs, cutlery, loved the small teapot and the supply of Twinnings tea bags, a rare but lovely touch for a tea drinker.The salt & pepper shakers and the supply of milk in the fridge was appreciated (though we had brought our own). The recently renovated bathroom & large soft towels were lovely.We enjoyed our stay & will book again next time we visit.My suggestions: the sliding door into the bathroom doesn't operate very well and catches when opening & closing. Just required some care and attention when opening & closing.A couple of draught stoppers for the floor at the front door and the double back doors would assist keeping the warmth in.A new set of tongs (red plastic ones don't work).A pooper scooper and some bags (or a small bin out the back) to put the doggie poops in as I feel this is the dog owners job to collect not the host job to clean up.

Great location and just as described A very short walk to Main Street and the lake Cosy warm and homey on the cool daylesford nights in autumn, and a perfect secure yard for our spoilt pooch. Kitchen had everything we needed and had a lovely bathroom with a nice roomy hot shower. Would definitely recommend and will be back for sure.

Awesome place for me my wife and the x2 fur babies! Close to the town centre and Lake Daylesford. Plenty of back yard for the doggos if you cant get out for a walk. Kitchen is well set up with all you need if you intend to stay in and eat. The beds are large and comfy and the ducted heating make it comfortable if the weather turns.

Overall was impressed with the property. Close proximity to all local places, cozy, and had character. Great option if you like a cozy feel and a place that accommodates for your pooch to come along too.

Perfect property for walking access to main street

Very comfy and cosy cottage with all needs catered for and supplied. Communication with Annie was very easy and we appreciated the earlier check-in with the air-conditioning on. Loved that there were extra blankets and the central heating a very welcome addition when it was extremely cold on the lady two mornings. We enjoyed a perfect few days at Annie's home. The house is a true home away from home, with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The house is situated in a perfect spot to walk to all the shops and eateries and a very short drive to the lake or convent. We would certainly stay again.

We had a lovely three days in Daylesford. Our accommodation had everything we needed and we could walk to the lake, the shops, cafes and the markets. Communication with our host was very smooth and then closed backyard was wonderful for our senior doggy guest . Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay with teenagers. The cottage was clean, cosy with a great backyard for the dog. Within easy walking distance of the lake, supermarket, Main Street with lots of shops & beautiful cafes. Short drive to Hepburn Springs for relaxing mineral baths. Highly recommended and would stay again!

The house is very nice. The host puts lots of efforts to make it warm and tranquille to match the tranquillity of Daylesford. It is located walking distance to the centre and the lake. Relaxing and fun

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was perfect for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. Great size fenced yard was a bonus. Beautiful cottage within walking distance to shops and restaurants and the lake as well. Highly recommend for a stay in Daylesford.

Very cute little cottage which was very clean and tidy. The music and heating were turned on for our arrival which was a nice touch and made it feel very welcoming. The Main Street and the lake were within walking distance which was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

Although the weather wasn’t great, my sister and I and our fur babies had a wonderful relaxing time. The quaint house was perfect for us and everything we need. The backyard was perfect for our fur babies and on arrival the house was warm and cozy with a lovely ambiance. Would love to come back again.

This house is very comfortable and well located being just a 5 min walk into the Main Street of Daylesford. Nice new bathroom with a great rain head shower and central heating throughout. Even a nice fireplace if it’s cold out. Comfy bed and couches to relax in and fully equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay and would book it again. The host was very helpful and attentive. Overall Kookaburra Cottage was great and is highly recommended.

The place was in an ideal spot close to the centre of town, it was clean and everything mentioned on the ad. Would stay there again.

Lovely cosy home. Ideal for short stays in this beautiful town. As soon as we entered the property it oozed warmth & cosiness. The heating, lights and music was on making you feel relaxed as soon as you stepped thru the door. Equipped with all the essentials, with comfy beds and hot shower. The property listed a hot tub which wasn’t there, yet of no concern to us as I probably wouldn’t have used it. There is an open fire yet not set up for use, again not of any concern as the property was sufficiently heated . Just may need to amend the listing details. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would definitely return.
