Brooksville, Maine
Sitting atop a granite bluff overlooking beautiful Eggemoggin Reach, King's Landing offers some of the most spectacular views on the Maine coast. Just feet from the ocean's edge, guests enjoy scenic views of Pumpkin Lighthouse and Little Deer Isle, set against the backdrop of East Penobscot Bay and the Camden Hills. Enjoy the afternoon sun or an evening cookout from the oceanside deck while watching the sun set behind the Camden Hills. Originally a land grant from the King of England in the early 1600's, King's Landing overlooks a private harbor/landing that once served as a landing for passenger steamships. Located just18 miles from Camden Harbor, home of one of the world's largest fleets of historic wooden schooners, guests are often treated to the sight of historic windjammers passing through, reminiscent of days gone by. Guests also have the use of three Private Association waterfront areas - an ocean dock, ocean bathing beach, and a lake beach on adjacent Walker Pond. The nearby Lookout Rock nature preserve has a newly established walking trail, with more spectacular views of Eggemoggin Reach, Penobscot Bay, and the Camden Hills. Please note: Owner has severe allergies to dog and cat dander and because of this, pets cannot be accommodated.
