Peaceful spot

Beautiful location, great wee holiday home. We didn't do any cooking so can't comment on that side of things, but really enjoyed the place. Wonderful deck with bush and sea views. Few mins walk down the hill to Baddeley's Beach, which is lovely (esp. nearer high tide). No iron, which would've been handy (we were there for a wedding) but no biggie... managed to borrow one from elsewhere. Thanks for great stay!

We spent a wonderful weekend at the bach and can highly recommend it! It's a hidden gem amongt native bush with abundant birdlife and a short walk to a beautiful tidal beach. The house was clean, comfortable and excellent value for money.

Excellent stay - my overseas guest was thrilled with the space. We loved the morning birdlife and proximity to the regional park. The bach had everything we need. Absolutely would recommend and stay again!

Quiet and secluded cottage that was very well set up. Clear communications. We had terrible rain the weekend we stayed but still enjoyed the location with an easy walk to the beach and short drives to lots of other attractions.

The owner was prompt to reply and accommodating. The drive-way is a bit gnarly but manageable. We loved it.

Great getaway from busy Auckland. We really enjoyed the tranquillity of the bush and birdsong, even a few sheep in the paddock next door. Perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the nearby attractions. The cottage had everything we needed. Thank you.

very nice bach! we took some boardgames and DVDs for the evenings to keep the kids entertained and everyone had a great time. Lovely setting and very cosy. Zero hassle stay.

I booked a two-night, three-day break for my husband's birthday. We had a wonderful time at Kurera. The cottage was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Surrounded by trees, it was very quiet, with only the chirping of birds for the most beautiful sound. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Thank you, John.

Kereru Cottage lives up to it name. Views through native bush to the ocean greet you. The cottage has everything you need and it is located within 10 minutes drive of all the local atrractions. I highly recommend you experience this slice of calm and tranquility.

Wonderful quiet spot

The cottage is in a nice peaceful location. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck with a coffee in the morning listening and watching the birds. The cottage is basic. It could be cleaner. But it is your typical kiwi style bach and it has what you need.

What an incredible gem! We loved our stay, our kereru-obsessed toddler especially enjoyed it. Very peaceful spot with everything you need - including great toys and a high chair. We would love to come back again, fantastic retreat from the city.

Perfect for a small family, with plenty of beaches and parks around to explore. We stayed only for a few nights, but that was enough for us to realise the neighbouring bushes might be hosting some kiwis. Overall very happy with our time at the Kererū cottage.

Thank you for sharing your lovely piece of paradise. The bach was just as described, peaceful and relaxing. The deck is awesome with the birds right there. The tuis sang beautifully after dark both nights. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

I stayed with two friends in Kereru cottage for the weekend and we had a wonderful stay. A well appointed cottage, with a beautiful outlook of the sea and forest, hills. Surrounded by bird life. Comfy beds, chairs and new bathroom. Well laid out and very clean. Would definitely stay again!

A lovely little cottage tucked into the nikau palms and puriri trees. The peacefulness is enhanced by birdsong. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well appointed. We would happily return.
