Keowee Waterfront Lakeside Retreat -Keowee Cottage

We had a great time at the cabin on Lake Keowee. Maggie and Mike were great hosts and have carved out an enviable lifestyle.

Amazing views and beautiful property. The property is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Beautiful and spacious cottage right on the lake. Serene, peaceful and crystal clear water. Hosts thought of everything and provided anything you might need. We enjoyed using the kayaks and relaxing on the deck.

The host was very responsive. We enjoyed the games and extra touches like cocoa and tea. The place was very clean. Easy to find. Beautiful view of the lake!

Maggie had everything ready for our Thanksgiving weekend and some amazing memories were made! The cottage and pavilion are beautiful & the lake view is stunning (especially at sunrise with the fog rolling off the water)! Hubby enjoyed using the kayak while I curled up on the porch to read. Highly recommend this property!!

The responsiveness of the host, the ease of check-in and check out processes, the amenities, the view, the coziness, access to the lake and lake toys all made for a very relaxing and memorable few days! We will return, for sure.

This property is well cared for, and absolutely beautiful. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay. Loved being near the water. Hosts were fantastic. Great communication with them. I got all the information about the cabin and the area. Very thoughtful people. I very much suggest you stay here.

Fully equipped, super welcoming

Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking . The patio had a wonderful view of the lake in the woods. The living area was very comfortable and cozy for watching movies, etc..

This cottage is amazing. It is absolutely adorable and extremely comfortable. You will want to spend the mornings on the deck with your coffee enjoying the views of the lake. It is SO peaceful. The cottage is extremely clean and has everything you need. The pavillion is an added bonus...we grilled out, watched football and enjoyed the lake views. We had a family of deer visit us every morning. Our dogs loved running around the property and, of course, loved getting into the water. We brought our boat and just beached it and tied it to some trees. It worked great. The owners were extremely responsive. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best VRBO stays I've had. Everything from the cleanliness to the local information provided to the baskets full of everyday items in case you forget something is more than I could have asked for. Maggie and Mike were very easy to reach and they communicated promptly. The level of relaxation found at this cozy little cottage was beyond my expectations. We will definitely be back sooner than later.

This was the best VRBO property i have ever sfayed at. The owner was very responsive and helpful while not interfering with our stay. The property was beautiful, and the home very clean. We intend on booking again in the future.

Our family enjoyed staying a week at this peaceful cabin. Excellent location in a cove on the lake with a great beach to enjoy a day playing in the water.

The hosts were terrific, the cottage was nice appointed, clean, and a short walk to the lake. The pavilion was a great place to meet while cooking dinner and entertaining.

Maggie and Mike’s cottage is a little piece of paradise. A short walk to the water and conceal.

Amazing! Better than the description. We’ll be back again. The pavilion is wonderful and it almost has a private beach area where we fished and floated in the water. Our dog enjoyed himself. The house was well appointed and we didn’t have to call the hosts one time! We cooked multiple meals, it has everything you need. We did laundry and went home with clean clothes. 10 Stars! We were there for an event at Clemson, it was an easy 25 minute drive away.

We had an amazing time staying at the Keowee Cottage. The cabin was clearly newly built, clean, and fully stocked. There were even nice touches like garden vegetables and fresh eggs, condiments and bottled water. The house was great for our family of 3 plus our dog. The property was secluded and quiet with a short walk to the lake. We arrived early and Maggie let us check in early which was great! We also used their dock float and kayaks which were great! We’d be happy to come back and stay again!

We stayed 4 nights. We had a very nice time. The home was small but adequate for our small family..2 adults and 2 dogs. It wa very clean and the owners went above and beyond to supply extra goodies and neccessities. The property had lots of room for walking in the woods with the dogs. Wish the lake had a sandy beach like its probably did before the storms, but it was still beautiful and serene!

Very clean. Very relaxing. Very accommodating. Beautiful, quiet setting, but not too far from everything you need.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful. The back deck that is attached to the house on both sides is a serene place to sit and enjoy the lake view and sounds of nature. Our dogs spent a lot of time on the deck with us and they seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. The location is quiet and peaceful. Everything you would need, restaurants, gas, groceries, etc. is only a short drive away. The owners are super nice and were always quick to respond to any questions. We would totally rent again!

Great stay!!! Cottage is well stocked and very clean. Host was very welcoming. Our dogs enjoyed the wooded area and easy water access. Can’t wait to revisit when it’s warmer

Maggie and Mike have created a peaceful sanctuary in nature with all the thoughtful details of a home away from home. It’s the best equipped kitchen I’ve ever stayed in and fresh farm eggs to boot.

Keowee Cottage is place for anyone who wants to get away from hustle and bustle of a busy life. The owners go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. They make you feel at home when you walk in the door. The beds were comfortable, kitchenware fully stocked and a basket of extra little things you might have forgotten to bring. The views of the lake can be easily seen from balcony or windows and the outdoor pavilion near the lake was an extra plus! Gas stove in the main room for a little extra ambience.The location was perfect, just far enough from everything. We will definatly be coming back in the spring.Our Lab loved it as well!

My family and I came up to see Clemson vs USC. We had a great stay everything was awesome. Would highly recommend this property!

We made a quick visit to see our student at Clemson and we’re thrilled to have found this little gem to rent for the weekend. Charming, comfy and so cozy! No detail was left undone and the owners thought of everything to make for the most welcoming stay. Wish our trip wasn’t so short, and we hope to be back before too long to explore the area and enjoy this lovely cottage.

Mike and Maggie have a little slice of heaven on Lake Keowee! They are quick to communicate and did not overlook a single detail in preparing the cabin for our stay. The accommodations were well appointed and everything was very clean. The location of the cabin on the lake is very peaceful, with minimal boat traffic so our children enjoyed swimming and kayaking right off of the beach. We highly recommend this rental and hope to return ourselves!

I have stayed at many VRBO properties, but this was my absolute favorite. What an amazing time. The house was just like the pictures but with added special touches..smores for the fire pit..ect.... It is more than 5 stars!!!

This property is so beautiful! I just got home after a weekend at the cottage and I can’t wait to go back. The owners are wonderful and incredibly hospitable! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay but I have to say that my dog may have enjoyed it the most! I highly recommend this property.

This property is absolutely amazing. Mike and Maggie were so pleasant and were so responsive to every question we had. We brought our pontoon boat and having the convenience of parking our trailer at high falls boat ramp for a small fee at the beginning of our stay and beaching our boat at the property was so worth it. I named the title as the beginning because we will definitely be booking with Mike and Maggie again for our annual lake trip(s). Thank you so much for a memorable trip for our family before the kids go back to school.
