Keene Cozy Cottage in the Heart of the Adirondack Mountains!

This cozy cottage is exactly how we felt during our weekend stay in Keene. The Stewart Shop & gas station was super convenient & walkable from the cottage. The property was well kept and met all our needs. Would highly recommend. Thank you Dorothy!

We were surprised when we walked in. Cozy can be a code word for lots of different things, not all of them good, but this cottage is really sweet. And cozy. With resourceful and creative use of a small space, it had everything we needed for our three days or kayaking. Completely outfitted kitchen, plenty of plush towels, comfy bed, house plants, and oodles of electrical outlets. Don't be scared off by the fact that it's on an important road. You won't notice traffic when you're inside and the bedroom in the back is absolutely quiet. Next time we'll make more time to sit out back around the chiminea fire pit and watch the stars come out. P.S. Super convenient location for everything you love to do in the Adirondacks.

Loved the cosy feeling has absolutely everything you could need in terms of the kitchen and really feels like a mini home in the style of your grandmother’s house. The bed is very comfortable shower is warm and we were very happy with everything. Would highly recommend

We had a wonderful getaway at the Keene Cozy Cottage. It is in a fantastic location in the Lake Placid region. We spent all of our time hiking and biking in the Wilmington area, which was easy to get to. But Lake Placid or the High Peaks are also close, if that’s why you’re staying. The cabin was charming. It was very well stocked with so many little conveniences. There were several times we said, “oh, we wish we brought X,” and there it was in one of the drawers. The cabin was also very well stocked for cooking your own meals, which we did. There were also several nice places to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Route 9N runs through Keene, and thus in front of the cabin, which means traffic. But it did not bother us inside. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay here again. We were glad we could meet Dorothy, the owner, before we left. She was also delightful.

Check-in and Check-out are a breeze! Dorothy, the host, is extremely friendly and welcoming. The cottage is perfectly cozy and has everything you need for a wonderful stay! The shower is a little small, but gets the job done. You don't visit the mountains to stay in the shower anyway. The bed is incredibly comfortable and feels like sleeping on a cloud! An added perk to this beautiful bungalow is that Stewart's is right next door, so creamy, delicious ice cream is seconds away!

Convenient location for all our planned activities.

My husband and I were in Keene to do some hiking and found Dorothy's cabin perfect for our needs. The inside was so warm and inviting and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen adequate to prepare a few simple meals. The location was perfect for the trails we intended to visit. There was a Stewarts close by so we could pick up breakfast pizza or sandwiches on our way out. There were only two downsides, it was pretty close to the busy road so there was quite a bit of traffic. We had our dog with us so we had to be mindful of not letting her get loose. Outside furniture could use some repair. But we would certainly recommend this property and hope to be able to stay there again.

Dorothy had thought of everything you might need and had it available including well explained instructions of how to operate the TV and washer and dryer. Also, she had lots of books and brochures on local area hikes and things to do.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect for the two of us. The host, Dorothy, was prompt in answering questions. The house was well stocked with kitchen items. The bathroom was also stocked with good towels. This has an older rustic cabin feel, but we found it comfortable - especially the bed! Because the house is just a few feet off a busy highway, there was some noise at night. Fortunately, we are sound sleepers so it didn’t bother us too often.

Traveling alone for hiking in the area. Cottage was perfect location, very neat and clean. Nice bed and well stocked kitchen. Dorothy was easy to communicate with and I would stay here again.

The cottage was a perfect place for my family of three. We're welcomed warmly with instruction notes for every need. A sofa hall in the middle of the Adirondacks with Wi-Fi was very comfy. The kitchen had everything to make breakfast and dinner and it's not surprising that we were totally ready for the next outdoor trip every time we went out. The backyard had a campfire setting but unfortunately it rained. The bedroom has a TV with a player and there were DVDs of movies that give the feel of the vacation and we watched Rush Hour. We thank Dorothy for the hospitality, it's a pleasurable place for a vacation. The cottage is very close to Lake Placid, Whiteface mountain and Keene Valley and easily accessible for hikers in the Adirondack.

The property was perfect, 1 bedroom, 1 bath, living room, kitchen everything there and Stewarts next door. Loved it will go back again.

The cottage matches its description and is very nice for one or two people. The host was easy to work with. The location is convenient for enjoying everything the Keene valley has to offer.
