The home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made it easy to relax and feel at home.Communication with the host was outstanding from start to finish. We loved it here! Very clean, quiet and peaceful with spectacular views. Large bathroom. The bed was so comfy with really nice linens. For being a studio it was very spacious. I would highly recommend this guesthouse if you are in area!

Unique and very special place with the best view I’ve ever seen from a VRBO. As restful and beautiful as the description says. Hosts are super responsive to small issues. We had one and it was very graciously and generously taken care of within 20 minutes from our call. This is now one of my most favorite VRBOs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at Ivy and Brittany's place. The VRBO listing was accurate, and all our questions were answered in detail. We were pleased to find so many nice-quality kitchen devices, sharp knives, and amenities (Cuisinart coffee bean grinder, didn't use the Keurig), and even though it wasn't a full kitchen, we were able to prepare and enjoy simple home-cooked meals while watching the sunset! We used the Weber gas barbecue once; it was spotless and worked very well. Two Duraflame logs were supplied, and we brought two more for cozy evenings. The Surf Mart in Gualala sells Duraflame logs.The Bluetooth speaker added to the relaxing atmosphere, and so we never once switched on the TV. Just relaxing, enjoying the view and the fireplace, reading, playing games, talking.... making for a perfect break from the usual routine. Internet connection was good, though be aware that once you leave the cottage (depending on your cell service) you might be off the grid (which can be a good thing!). The interior design was in tune with the surroundings, the bed was very comfortable (mattress, linens, and pillows), and the bathroom was huge! Everything was in good condition and very clean. Walking Sea Ranch paths along the shoreline, a short trip to Pt Arena Lighthouse and Bowling Ball Beach (check the tide report), dinner at Sea Ranch Lodge (live jazz trio in the lobby - music every Thursday - book a table well in advance) a perfect Sea Ranch experience!

We have stayed in many ocean front homes along the California and Oregon Coast. This is by far the best ocean view of them all. Crashing waves on the rocks. So beautiful. We will be back. For sure! The refrigerator is quite spacious for an under the counter unit. There is no freezer on top which would account for the extra room. So. We brought our portable stand alone ice maker. The last thing that we wanted to do was to leave this gorgeous home and go to the store just for ice. Perfect for drinks and for keeping our cooler cool with some crushed ice for the trip home to Napa. We stored it under the table. Out of the way, and out of sight, as there is very little counter space. The bathroom was well laid out and beautiful. Double sinks. Large countertop. Nice tub. Large tiled shower. Very nice. The bed was comfortable. With a view of the ocean. Television was placed so that it didn’t interfere with the view. It was easy to connect my Firestick.

We loved the abundant daylight in the living space. The view to the ocean and the ‘standing wave’ formations on the stunning and ragged coastline were mesmerizing. We sat in the Adirondack chairs every sunny day, of which all the days of our stay were. The privacy of the property is remarkable.

Perfect spot for couples to explore Sea Ranch from. Quiet, clean and close to the Lodge. Can't recommend enough.

It’s hard to find words to describe the magic of this special place. From the impeccable design choices to the wonderfully friendly and responsive hosts, it was altogether a truly unique and fabulous stay. The show stopper of course is the magnificent view of the ocean, with mesmerizing sunsets and peaceful sunrises over the bluff. But we also appreciated the luxurious bathroom with dual showers and a jacuzzi tub, as well as the kitchenette and grill. And the beautiful Sea Ranch lodge is only a short walk away. Thank you Ivy and Brittany for an unforgettable stay!!!

Not only is this place absolutely breathtaking, it’s private and clean and cozy while outside the is the expanse of the Pacific Ocean. The fireplace is amazing as is the view.The host is fantastic as well, super accommodating and responded within minutes. We’ve been here many times and we will be back. 10/10 stay

The view was spectacular. The guest house was so private and serene!

Well stocked kitchen, had everything we needed to cook in. Pictures don't do the property justice, it's gorgeous out there. Perfectly cozy for two people. We built a fire every night we were there, it was wonderfully relaxing. Don't miss the sunset!

This property is amazing!! The views of the sunset are incredible and listening to the ocean waves every night was so wonderful. It was so dark we could also see the Milky Way! It was very private and quiet, which we liked. The hosts were very helpful and the unit was well equipped. We will remember this trip for a very long time...and may be planning to come back in the near future!

Easy no hassle check in. Everything was as described. Kitchen was small but functional. The matress was very comfortable and the views were unsurpassed. The property is magical and i highly recommend this property for a romantic stress free getaway.

Wonderful adventure,

We've never had our own private cove before. It was wonderful, as were the harbor seals, red-tailed hawks and gliding buzzards. The cabin was beautiful and very cozy. We will recommend it to friends. P.S. Be sure to visit the Sea Ranch Chapel.

Very, very special property...the epitome of modern serenity offering a spellbinding view of the breathtaking vistas Sea Ranch has to offer. All creature comforts accounted for, (and then some), and highly responsive hosts. This is a great place to stay on the coast and to visit the unique and charming community of Sea Ranch. A very Californian experience all around.

This is a wonderful place to rest and recharge. It’s not ideal for those seeking social interaction or a bustling atmosphere, but if you’re looking to create space for stillness—surrounded by the beauty of nature—this spot delivers. Whether you’re tuning into your thoughts or simply being present with a loved one, you won’t be disappointed.

This was our second visit. Can not beat this place! Watched the whales go by, had a couple sea lions visit below, just perfect relaxation.

Beyond words. We had high expectations but they were all surpassed. The views are stunning; the space is elegantly designed. We chose this for our 25th anniversary and were familiar with Sea Ranch but this place is the best. We felt transported as the view was incredible and the only sounds are the ocean and birds.

Great location for a weekend getaway to relax or explore the northern Californian coast! Amazing views from the home. Only limiting factor is no oven but not a deal breaker if you keep cooking simple on the stove top.

The Guest House is ideal for a quiet, scenic location. Just the perfect size and amenities for a party of two. The view that dominants the open space is spectacular, extremely private as well.Exploring the miles of walking trails, the unique and extremely beautiful chapel, and taking easy day trips up and down the coast created our perfect getaway.I would highly recommend this property!

Perfect location for a couple. The studio is well laid-out, and the extra-large bathroom allows plenty of room to spread out. The proximity of the Sea Ranch lodge permits quick trips for lattes and pastries in the morning.

We have been coming up to Sea Ranch since 1975 since we live close. Never have we stayed in such a private cove that I could watch the gray whales migrate... from my bed. Only suggestions would be a good reading lamp by the couch and perhaps safety hand bars in the beautiful shower for your ageing guests.We will be back that's for sure. Thank you. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this slice of heaven. I especially like properties that aren’t gigantic and this cottage was perfect, but still managed to feel luxurious. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a treat (jacuzzi tub.) I can’t explain the view well enough. Phenomenal comes to mind. We even spent 2 nights star gazing. Loved every minute.

Beautiful setting, well designed space and smoothly organised by the hosts. We got a verbal slap on the wrist for unknowingly checking in an hour and a half early. (Its self check in) which felt completely unnecessary and left a sour taste. That being said the hosts do a great job, Brittany may have just been having a bad day. Would still highly recommend

Having grown up in the Territory of Hawaii, I favor Ocean front vacation rentals. Standing Wave TOPS our list! It was pouring rain and very windy upon our arrival, and I had to try 20 times to get the entry key to work, before it did,…and we called off the housekeeper the Hosts had Called out on such a night. Despite a late November booking, we then had a great full experience of Sea Ranch, and two nights with a warm hearth and beautiful classical music embracing us! These hosts are the best!

this property is absolutely stunning and the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The location was beautiful and private and close to Stewarts Point General store (coffee and sandwiches) and the Lodge (cocktails and dinner). Easy access to Sea Ranch trails and community pools. The hosts were fantastic and the house had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back!

...and it was as enjoyable as the previous two. It's an ideal place to recharge for busy folks like us. Next year we are planning to come again for the fourth time.

My husband and I celebrated his birthday, in comfort and wonder in this spectacular place. Perched above an Ocean cove, the setting is astonishing to wake to, and we loved sitting out on the deck watching the waves and sea birds. The furnishings and the appliances are all high quality - feeling quite different to use than the 'for tenants' selections of some rental properties. Thank you for our very special stay!

Book it......now!!!! An amazing little house with spectacular views, it's hard to say more. This was a perfect place to unhook with the beauty of the rocky cliffs and Pacific Ocean just a few feet away. Gualala is a super little town to get any supplies you may need to grab a quick bite. We spent hours on the patio, and it was both relaxing and invigorating.
