Historic headquarters of city founder! Gated parking!

Liz was a wonderful host. This a cute house with a wonderful history. The gated parking lot is a dream. Parking in Old Town is horrible. It is mostly on the street or in parking lots that you have to walk to and from. So you never know if you will be able to park close to the place you are staying. That is not a worry here!!! No one is parking in your spot but YOU!. Another thing, with all the bars with music we did not hear a thing!!! And Magpie's is right across the street and they have wonderful potato soup. If you are a people watcher you can sit in your own private yard with your favorite drink and watch people walk by.

The only thing we didn't like was the commercial BBQ smoker next door which smelled quite strongly outdoors and even indoors to some extent. The house itself is very comfortable and convenient.

Great stay!

A very nice older property in a good location. We enjoyed our stay and like the private parking because during special events in the area parking becomes very limited. The host greeted us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know.

Great property, historic, charming and just so welcoming!

The place was cozy and beautiful! The location was perfect. There were shops and restaurants practically outside our front door, so we didn’t need to drive anywhere. Also, you parked your car in the back of the house which had an electric gate to get in and out.The host was very friendly. She told us the history of the home and info St. Charles. We will definitely stay there again!

This was a prefect place for a birthday getaway. We didn't have to look for a parking spot since the house has on site parking. Lynn was a perfect host. We will definitely be back.

Perfectly placed, and the home itself was freaking adorable. Could easily visit downtown, even a simple trek into KC. And the historic aspects? My sister and I loved it!! The owner spent time with us, sharing details which made it that much better!

Wonderful stay! The property was as pictured, very clean and cozy with a nice backyard and firepit that opened directly on to Main Street. Lots of cute coffee shops, restaurants and local stores within yards of the front gate. It was like walking out of the back door and into a scene from a Hallmark movie. Will definitely stay here again!

Lynn had the house decorated very nicely for the holidays. We love the area and everything was great the house is so charming. It is very nice to be able to walk to everything we wanted to do. Can’t wait to come back again

Stayed here for a fall getaway and to visit family. The fall weather was beautiful and trees were beginning to turn colors. The historic area had a few events happening called Pumpkin Glow and Legends and Lanterns festival. Both gave the fall getaway just the right Halloween atmosphere and our lodging was right spot where everything was in walking distance! The gated parking in the rear of the house made it easy to come and go without the worry of finding parking upon return. Nicely located and cozy, clean accommodations!

Awesome Historic Home right on Saint Charles historic Main Street. Check-in Was great and easy private parking off the street and you can literally walk everywhere! This historic home is so cute and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there! We definitely want to come back!

We have walked by this little house for 40 years, and even had been inside the house when it was a shop. We were thrilled to see that the house was available as a VRBO! What a privilege to stay in this beautiful and historic home. The house was immaculately clean and comfortable. The antique furnishings and decor added to the ambiance. Lynn was a wonderful hostess. She greeted us and showed us the historic details of the home. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and will definitely be back. Thank you, Lynn!

Great stay at this beautiful historic home. Walk to all the restaurants and stores on Main Street. Also walk on the Katy Trail which is right out the back door. Highly recommend this great spot!!

Lynn, another wonderful stay. Not only is the location (and private gated parking lot) amazing, but the home itself is living history itself with property dating back to 1769.

We loved our recent stay in Lynn's charming historic home. The location was very convenient to restaurants, bars and shops and also easy access to Interstate 70 and 370. Lynn is a very responsive host and her home was nicely appointed with interesting antiques and everything we needed for a great stay. We especially enjoyed the gated secure parking. Next time we need a St. Charles home we hope Lynn's home is available.

Such a cute house with a lot of history. Enjoyed reading the books provided that tell the history of all the buildings on main street.Walking distance to many shops and restraurants.

Staying at this house was a great time. Clean, functional kitchen, big trees, and super comfortable bed. Close to a bunch of great restaurants ( Frontier Perk Cafe),coffee shops (Mocha Point Yemeni Coffee Shop), and shopping, (Main Street Book Store, Saturday morning farmers market)

Fabulous property, perfect location, great host, fun town, excellent food (and booze), music/dancing!!Lynn has thought of everything, the property is well stocked and every amenity covered. Even down to the ugly umbrella (which we needed and was glad it was there :) Very comfortable stay, we will be returning guests! Property is as described, and better. We had a wonderful, short stay and found the Headquarters to be a perfect jumping off point for exploring and enjoying Saint Charles. Host was very accommodating and quick to respond to questions. Clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen, and unbeatable location. Charming property- there was even a whitetail bunny hopping around the front yard when I stepped out with my coffee in the morning! Will absolutely look to book this property for future visits. 10/10 highly recommended!

This historic house has been lovingly restored with period artifacts and furnishings, and fully appointed with up-to-date appliances and facilities. Lynn is one of the most gracious and efficient hosts we've ever encountered, from greeting us in person on arrival to getting the cable company to promptly resolve a problem with its equipment. The location is ideal in the historic district. Especially if you visit during festivals or other busy times you will be grateful for the gated on-site parking!

The property was just as described. Very nice location was able to walk to almost everything downtown. A nice place to stay, relax, shop, and eat there is definitely something for all ages in Saint Charles. There is a lot of history in this little town. Linda was great. Very helpful in giving recommendations. Would definitely stay there again.

This home offers everything you need to experience the St Charles charm. This historical home is meticulously kept! There is private parking and a private front yard that gives you privacy from people passing by. The owner is wonderful, and very responsive! I highly recommend this property!

For everything we look for in a VRBO property, this location has it.

We were delighted with our stay here from the start. I booked this as a warmer, more intimate alternative to our usual holiday hotel accommodations and was instantly glad I did. The house was comfortable and quiet despite being in a vibrant, walkable neighborhood. The house was tastefully decorated (tree and all) for the season which added to our overall enjoyment of our stay. We were able to walk for coffee and meals and still had easy vehicular access when needed. Walking the silent, fully decorated Jacksonian era streets after dark was unforgettable. Lynn was wonderful to work with - attentive, accommodating, and efficient. This was my first VRBO experience and it set a great tone - we'll definitely be back!

This is such a cool little place! Absolutely best location for shopping Main St. Lynn’s place is very clean and well decorated. Although it’s right on Main St it is a very quiet location. Parking is so convenient with its own private parking in back of the property. We will absolutely be staying here again.

We stayed for few days to visit friends and this was just what we wanted, convenient to main Street and close to restaurants and entertainment. I love to find period correct homes and this one has it all. Easy check in and departure. If you want to enjoy all the main Street offers, this is your place.
