This was a beautiful place to stay! Very clean and well maintained. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the supplies you need. The only improvement I can think of would be a new matress.

It was such a perfect cottage in the woods. Everything was clean and cozy. It was beautifully decorated and very quiet. We felt so welcome and there was even a gift basket for us when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Stay was ok, the cottage was very clean, with lots of fresh towels and several fans, which we appreciated. However, the plug in fragrances and lack of an extra set of sheets were a drawback.

We had a quiet and peaceful week in this secluded and beautifully appointed cottage. The rooms were spotlessly clean. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay. We brought some food and cooked freshly caught steamers from Johnson’s Shellfish in Blue Hill. The General Store and The Morning Moon Cafe are great for breakfast and lunch. We took the Mail Boat out of Stonington to Isle au Haut for a lovely view of the islands off of Deer Isle. Cliff was a great host, left us to our seclusion and was there only when needed. We truly enjoyed every day of our stay.

We had a lovely and relaxing stay at this Hidden Gem. Exactly what we needed. The location was perfect for us, close to so many things we wanted to do on the Blue Hill Peninsula and Deer Isle. Secluded, but not lonely. I'm glad I read the other reviews so that I understood this is an in-law suite attached to a larger house. Everything was wonderful except the pull-out bed from the loveseat in the living room. This was too uncomfortable to sleep on (I was traveling with my college-aged son, and he tried--to no avail). This place is perfect for a couple who can share a bed. I look forward to coming back someday. I really needed this relaxing stay.

The property was outstanding! Each room was beautifully decorated with interesting touches throughout. And the owner could not be more gracious. He offered tips for Acadia and shared his favorite restaurants. We loved our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely return! Thank you for making our stay special!

A beautiful, well-maintained and lavishly provisioned property. A bit out of the way, but within easy reach of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We enjoyed our stay!

The Hidden Gem was a great place to come back to after long days at the Acadia Park and Bar Harbor. Very clean and well supplied to be a second home away from home. Definitely would stay again. Guest was very helpful and made sure everything was ready for us.

Spacious 1 bedroom cottage. Beautifully appointed and well sorted with everything you would need for your stay. The small kitchen was great for preparing a few small meals after a day of exploring Acadia. There is a grocery store down the road about 15minutes that had anything we may have needed or forgotten. Not much for restaurants in the area so we cooked in 2 nights. Minor comments: The cottage is attached to another residence. This caused us no issues and we never heard or really saw the other residents. Also there is not a full size refrigerator or freezer. They are a small drawer style undercabinet arrangment. They worked fine but beware of a limited capacity. 100% would stay again and will recommend to family and friends.

Nice place in a quiet neighborhood. Alot of cool places to check out within a short drive. The owner was very helpful and a heck of a nice guy in general. When I booked this, I did not realize that if was attached to the main house. Not that it mattered. Would defiantly recommend and look forward to staying there again.

This is a place that is quiet and has an amazing amount of thought put into the rental space. It has everything you need and probably a couple of things you forgot! A cozy fireplace to come home to at night and a beautiful yard to sit and unwind in. It was for us, the perfect vacation.

We enjoyed our trip so much! The home was beautifully appointed with everything we needed for the trip. There is a Keurig for your caffeine needs. Blue Hill is a very cute little town. We grabbed groceries at the Hannaford and Walgreens. Blaze is an amazing restaurant! Harriman Preserve is a must see, about a mile hike to a quiet little beach that we had all to ourselves. So pretty and perfectly Maine!

We stayed at this gorgeous cottage for two. Nights while we hiked around Acadia. The place was spotless, and every detail was attended to. They even left us a thank you note and some bottled water and snacks! Well worth staying here even though it is an hours drive to Acadia. Would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed the cozy cabin. It was clean, well appointed & quiet. It’s an easy 45-60 minute drive to Acadia. We enjoyed local restaurants, Island Take Out & Marlintinis.
