St Mawes is one of the most exclusive traditional villages in the Country, with a wealth of activities within close reach. Historic Castles from the era of Henry VIII, glistening blue waters, bustling beaches, Cornish Pubs, award-winning restaurants, amazing coastal walks, ferries to different locations, little motor boats, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards, all available for rental. (During the season) The Roseland peninsula has a huge variety of places to explore, there are many beaches, some with golden sands, some with shingle, all with a splattering of rock pools, there are secluded coves, towering cliffs, and the famous lighthouse at St Anthony. (Fraggle Rock for everyone of a certain age!) The artists' haven of Portscatho is well worth a visit, as is Veryan. with its famous round houses.

Our third visit to Heathfield and it gets better every time. The bungalow was spotlessly clean and the facilities excellent, A hamper to welcome us, lovely fluffy towels, crisp white bedding. There is sea view and the village of St Mawes is delightful. We had dinner at The Rising Sun the first night only to be serenaded by a male voice choir, carols and sea shanties quite memorable.

Heathfield was a perfect holiday home. Spotlessly clean and lots of comfortable chairs for the whole family. Added bonus 3 bathrooms which suited 6 people .A step free environment just right for anyone with a disability. . Everything was spotless- Dog loved the garden, it was a comfort to know it was secure. Parking for 4 or more cars another bonus. Location was ideal not far from Truro or Falmouth, Penzance just over an hour away. Only a short walk to the shops and harbour.. Would love to come back to Heathfield.

Very well maintained and equipped with great parking. the location is good for access to footpaths but also into St Mawes if you don't mind a few hills!

The week we had in Heathfield was most enjoyable, both the area and the house suited us well. We needed four bedrooms which Heathfield gave us and to have two sitting areas a bonus when you have family with different ages and needs. Kitchen was well.supplied.with utensils. Our visit was over the winter holiday period so to have efficient heating was appreciated as well.

The house was beautifully presented, clean and tidy, with everything we needed for a home-from-home stay - and the homemade biscuits were delicious! The large enclosed garden made it ideal for our dogs, which is always a bonus. The location was perfect for us, having plenty of parking and being quiet and peaceful but not isolated. It’s 5 minutes walk down the hill into St Mawes, for easy access to all amenities and walks/ferries from there. Our aim was to get out & about without using the car and this was easily achieved but it’s also easy to reach other places from here. We would highly recommend Heathfield as a place to stay.
