Gîte 20 minutes from the FUTUROSCOPE, with COVERED SWIMMING POOL

Beautiful spacious Gite in quiet rural location, great facilities on site for all including a pool and hot tub! Perfect hosts very kind and helpful. Highly recommend.

A beautifully renovated stables with everything you could need (besides reliable internet) to relax and get away. The pool is very secure and there are loads of games/activities available to borrow from the owners to keep children of all ages entertained. The location is very remote but a 20/30 minute road trip brings towns and cities into range. Really enjoyed our 2 weeks

The accomodation was fabulous, spacious and extremely well equipped. The hosts, who live on site, were very accomodating and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Everywhere was clean, the pool warm and extremely quiet. If a rural, peaceful location is what you are looking for, it comes highly recommended. Please note however, that the cleaning of the property when you leave is not included; the owners charge an excessive 100 Euro’s unless you choose to clean it yourself. We chose to clean it, which was fine as all equipment was available, but with this and being asked to strip all beds before leaving, we did feel that our holiday wasn’t quite what we thought we had bought.

A very nice and spacious house, friendly owners and several extra's (swimming pool, trampoline, bicycles, ping pong, swing, sauna and jacuzzi). A real joy to stay here and lot's of things to do in the area.

We stayed for a week at the end of July. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by our friendly and caring hosts, and were happy to see that the gite looked better in person than in the photos. The property is spacious, everything is well kept, and we had all of the necessities catered for - coffee maker, kitchen ware, etc. The location is perfect for a quiet getaway, but we were a 10 minute drive from two market towns, a huge supermarket, and other shops and restaurants. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and were happy to recommend local activities and places to get wonderful cheese and pastries. The pool was a perfect escape from the hot temperatures, as was the shaded patio with lounge chairs in our garden. We had a very relaxing week, and would gladly return!

The Barn was magnificent and very spacious. Jackie and Mersedes were wonderful hosts. Together with Gala the dog and Lilly the donkey it was truly a holiday to remember. There are plenty of lakes in the area and Chateaus to visit for lovely wine. A true taste of France.

We visited with our 2 boys, 10 and 9 years old, with the swimming pool being a major factor. Dogs are also welcome and we took our cocker spaniel. The accommodation was well presented, spacious and quiet. Supermarkets are only a 5 minute drive in Mirebeau. Futuroscope, canoeing, Velorail, Poitiers, tree climbing etc all within 25kms so plenty to keep kids occupied. On site the spa, sauna, bikes, table tennis and trampoline kept the kids entertained on slow days. Also Lilly the donkey. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay in L'ECURIE D'ALCIDE with Mercédès & Jacky. The house was spacious and well equipped. The kids loved the pool and Jacuzzi. Lots of outdoor activities and the dog Gala was very friendly. Hope to visit again.

The house was immaculate and fully equipped to provide a fantastic holiday location. The owners ( Mercedes & Jacky) are lovely,friendly people who are incredibly helpful and will go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. The setting is beautiful surrounded by ducks,geese & chickens not forgetting Lily the donkey! It is very peaceful and truly allows you to relax and recharge your batteries. The pool is amazing, kept at a constant temperature which makes swimming a real pleasure. We had an amazing holiday here and would love to go back again in the future. I would definately recommend it to anyone who is looking for a rural break , a wonderful location, in a house with fantastic facilities. We absolutely loved it!!!!

A very well maintained holiday cottage with every comfort. A great atmosphere in the cottage and around. The cottage is spacious. Located in a rural setting. Great for unwinding, cycling and walking. Owners are very friendly and attentive with a sweet dog!
