Groton Long Point Vacation Rental Near Beach

We had a lovely time this year in GLP. Some highlights of the home included comfy beds, nice bathrooms, a/c, and lots of space to gather with cousins. The LEGO collection was a huge hit with the kids, too! There was even a net for crabbing! The front and back porches and the balcony were all lovely and I wish we had utilized them more. The host was very responsive and helpful. We had a great time and would return again to this property. As always, the worst part of the time in GLP was having to leave.

The house was roomy and well located. The kitchen was old, which isn’t bad in itself, but shelves were unfinished and unlined and felt unclean. There was no coffee maker, at least not a clean one. Closets were filled with dirty brooms and odds n ends of insecticides etc. I looked for cleaning supplies and found one spray bottle with bleach and dirty upright vacuums. Main bathroom bath tub spout did not work nor did the hand spray so we had to fill the tub via the spritzy shower head which took a long time. And we had no way to clean the tub. Sectional had clearly never been moved and cleaned behind-dust and cobwebs and detritus. Door into Master bath / Jack and Jill bathroom was swollen and did not shut. So, overall, great space and location, just a feeling of neglect and uncared for interior. We were never inclined to cook a meal and eat it there. Too dirty.

We stayed in September and the weather was wonderful. The beaches are close and easy to walk to, and there are beach chairs, and towels. I really appreciated Cathy who responded to a few questions about how to use the Television. And they helped us troubleshoot at the time we needed and that was really kind of them. There are many rooms, and the air conditioners in the bedrooms, which we only needed one hot evening. There is a great back deck with a grill and fun covered porch in the front. We loved using the outdoor shower. My daughter and son in law came with their new baby and because we were in opposite sides of the house, each couple had a sense of privacy and each couple had their own bathroom. We didn't even hear when the baby cried from our side of the house. It was just lovely, Thank you! Kate

Location was great and owner was very responsive. However the property desperately needs a deep cleaning and cosmetic repairs. Cob webs, dirty curtains, missing blinds, missing knobs on furnitures, dirty floors, old musty pillows and couches. Location great and friendly owners but home needs work now that Covid is lightening up.

Very much enjoyed our stay in GLP. The community is very quant and relaxing. The house itself is located a quick walk to the beach in a quiet neighborhood.

Our family stayed at 8 Ridge Rd and loved it. Great access to the GLP beaches.

I stayed here with my family for a week and we had a fabulous time! The house is a classic New England home, spacious (we had six people and still had room), quiet and very close to the beach. The owners did a great job communicating all the logistics with us and were very attentive. Overall, everything was exactly as described and I would recommend this place.
