The village of Docking is comprised mainly of pretty period cottages, many of which are built from local flint stones, and enjoys good amenities, including a fish and chip shop, Post Office, village store, and a family pub serving food. There is also a playing field with children’s play area, a bowling green, a tennis court and a local fishing lake. Docking is situated just a few miles from the coast with lovely beaches to be found at Heacham, Hunstanton, Holme, Brancaster, Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea, each with their own individuality. As well as offering quiet beaches, these areas also offer visitors RSPB sites, attractive fishing harbours and traditional vibrant seaside attractions.
