You can't beat this location. It is lakefront at its best. It is also near anything your hearts desire. If you like to fish, swim, shop, hike, go to festivals, wineries or just hang, this is the perfect spot. This wonderful cottage is located on the southwest side of beautiful South Lake Leelanau. This is an all-sports lake with great fishing, water sports, and sightseeing. You can explore more than 20 miles of shoreline, visit North Lake Leelanau, or dock your boat in the quaint town ofLeland and shop in 'Fishtown'.

The cottage is located on a small access road which is about three miles north of the town of Cedar. It is a two-story house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bedrooms are all upstairs, and one full bath upstairs, and one full bath downstairs. The lake area in front of the cottage is beautiful, with about a two-mile expanse across the lake.

The cottage is directly on the lake (there is no road between the cottage and the lake) and the water is about 80 feet from the cottage. Large trees at the water's edge provide cool shade on summer days. The lake bottom is sandy, with a very gradual drop off (about three-feet deep at 100 feet from shore). The shoreline is grass up to water's edge.
Enjoy wonderful sun and moon-rises from your wrap-around porch. Truly a functional and lovely get-away. Hard-pan sandy lake bottom, great for youngsters to swim and play. No thru-traffic on this private shared road. Open floor plan on main level with durable flooring, spacious entry/laundry room. Charming cottage style decor. Boating on this 20-mile lake seems endless. Spend the entire day on the lake topped off with a great dining experience in Cedar, Lake Leelanau, or Leland by-boat. So much more to experience on this, the greatest all-sports inland lake in the area. The charming village of Cedar is less than a 5 minute drive and only 20-minutes to downtown TC.

We stayed the last weekend of October. The cottage is very comfortable and inviting with a nice open floor plan and view of the lake. Weather was cool, lake was beautiful and we enjoyed the outdoor fire pit by the water and the indoor wood burning stove. The market/gas station in cedar has a good supply of firewood. Owner was quick to respond to inquiries and the visit went very smoothly.

Views of the lake from the house are awesome! Size of the back yard is great and easy access to the lake. House was VERY cute. Loved the retro, cottage feel. Quick and easy access to anything you might want to see. Would recommend this place to others. A side note: Overall, the place was clean but it needs a deep clean. Window ledges and screens were very dirty and dust in places that aren't used everyday.

A cozy cottage still allowing enough space for a full family to spread out. We loved the view and chilling by the lake!

This was a family friendly home in a secluded lakeside neighborhood. The host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating to our family’s needs. Would highly recommend.

Amazing spot on gorgeous Lake Leelanau. We spent lots of outdoor time in the water, and on the dock, yard and porch. Perfect location close to several beach towns, golf courses, hikes and water activities. The host was super responsive and accommodating and even drove out to get items we left after check out and shipped them to us.

I wanted a place where we could see the night sky without city lights that was next a lake. The cottage is clean and cute. Neighbors were friendly and the town is super cute.

The cabin looks beautiful from the outside and rustic on the inside. It was great having two showers, as there were 6 of us. T I feel like there could have been more paper products left for

We came for a long fall weekend of wines and restaurants and relaxation. We enjoyed live music at the river club (glen arbor) sunset over the dam (Leland Fishtown, cove restaurant) enjoyed some great wines at soul squeeze and bourbon at the distillery across the street. We hiked some through the sleeping bear dunes and enjoyed a cup of coffee with a view from the covered porch over lake leelenau. There was a decent collection of games and we were particularly grateful to be able to watch the MSU game!

Heather's lake cottage is in a great location on the west side of South Lake Leelanau - close enough for a run into to Glen Arbor, a round of golf at Sugar Loaf or Manitou Passage, or a trip to Good Harbor Beach - one of the best Lake Michigan beaches. We spent most of our time at the lake/on the lake boating, including several trips over to the Tiki Bar at Paradise Cove and a day cruise up to Leland for lunch with a stop at The Boat House for wine. This cottage is set up nicely to enjoy the outdoors, with a roomy porch, large lawn (lawn games supplied), and nice dock + swim raft set up for lounging by the lake. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to stay at the lake and skip the restaurants for a week.
