THE SPACE
Interior of House:
First Floor:
-The living room is a welcoming area for gathering, relaxing, and socializing with family and friends. There are a number of games and puzzles available for use, ideal for snowy days or evenings in. During the day, the inside of the house is beautifully lit with natural sunlight through the cathedral windows. The pine walls create an “Up-North” coziness, especially as you are winding down in the evenings.

-The kitchen is adjacent to the living room. While we love so many of the restaurants in the area, sometimes a home cooked meal is in order. The kitchen is well stocked and ready for you to prepare delicious meals. Please, be our guest! The dining room table is located between the living room and kitchen and there are six dining chairs available for use.

-First floor bedrooms: On the first floor you will find two bedrooms - one has a Queen bed and the other has a Full bed with a Twin loft. Both bedrooms have closets as well as black-out curtains to help you get the rest you need. If you open the curtains you’ll be greeted by a gorgeous view of the woods.

-First floor bathroom: There is a full bathroom with a stone-tiled walk-in shower on the first floor.

Second Floor:
-Upstairs you will find a loft-area with a desk and office chair overlooking the living room. If you need a place to work during your stay, this is an excellent place to do so as the view out the cathedral windows is beautiful. Internet speeds up to 300 Mbps should assist with any online tasks you may need to take care of.

-Second floor bedroom: Upstairs you'll find the third bedroom which has a Queen bed. This bedroom also has a closet and black-out curtains; if you pull the curtains to the side you’ll again be greeted by a serene view of the woods.

-Second floor bathroom: In the loft there is another full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

-The home has Central Air Conditioning and Central Heating. A gas fireplace in the living room is in service during the winter months (and makes the living area feel even more cozy!).

Exterior of house:
-As you go outside the house you’ll find a large deck which spans the front and side of the house. There’s a large patio table which provides a perfect area for relaxing, enjoying a meal straight off the charcoal grill, and sipping on a glass of local wine or beer.

-The firepit is located in the back of the yard and provides an excellent setting for enjoying quiet northern Michigan nights under the stars.

-There’s a large fenced-in yard, perfect for kids.

-The house is located in a peaceful, wooded setting less than three miles from Lake Michigan.

Property Location:
-Located off M-22 between Leland and Glen Arbor, you’ll find the central location of the home makes it a perfect base for visiting the Leelanau Peninsula. The home is tucked into a quiet, wooded space less than three miles from Lake Michigan, near Sugar Loaf. Within just a handful of miles you’ll find wineries, golf courses, hiking, biking, restaurants, and so much more. This makes the home a perfect place to rest after a day of exploring.

-Distance to popular peninsula destinations:
Leland: 8 miles
Glen Arbor: 12 miles
Suttons Bay: 14 miles
Sleeping Bear Dunes: 16 miles
Traverse City: 19 miles
Northport: 20 miles

You will have use of the entire house during your stay (minus the basement, which is unfinished and locked).

The television uses a Roku device so you can sign into your favorite streaming services.

You are welcome to use the washer and dryer, both of which are located on the first floor.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
We hope you find the home to be child-friendly, as we have configured it to be welcoming to our family and others. There’s a Pack ‘n Play available for use, as well as a baby gate. The yard is also fenced in, which gives little ones a great opportunity to explore!

The property is strictly non-smoking.

The home uses a smart-lock to ensure security and provide ease of access for guests.

There is an exterior camera/recording device on property, used to monitor the exterior of the home.

The charcoal grill is available for your use, you will just need to bring any charcoal you wish to use.

We try to keep firewood available at the house for use, but if needed please feel free to purchase local firewood. Bunting’s Cedar Market carries firewood, along with a number of local roadside stands.

It was the perfect amount of space for our family of five. It was clean, comfortable, and the perfect autumn location. We were close to all the places we wanted to visit like Sleeping Bear Dunes, Empire, Leland, Northport. Would highly recommend!

A great location for our family vacation. The farthest we drove was about and hour and a half up to Boyne City but then we many stops on the way back of places we wanted to see. The welcome gift of the bottle of Michigan wine was an unexpected anduch appreciated touch by the host.

Perfect family get away up north! Very clean with plenty of space for 2 adults and 4 kids. We loved the location as a jump off point to all our favorite Northwest Michigan summer activities- Sleeping Bear, Glen Arbor, Leland, Platte River, Cherry picking, wineries and breweries, trail biking, and so many beautiful beaches:-)

Our family had a wonderful stay and loved the house! Would definitely return!House was very clean and well stocked with the essentials. Location was perfect and is on a quiet cul-de-sac. Quick scenic drive to Glen Arbor or wineries on Leelanau.Beds were comfy. Kids enjoyed the bunk beds. Upstairs has a bedroom and bathroom all to itself, which is nice. Can’t think of a single thing I would change! We goofed and left some things behind but Rachel was awesome and got everything back to us. She is a great host! We had an awesome time!

We loved it. We came up for a girls weekend. Everything was very comfortable and anything you could possibly need was available. The kitchen was well organized and it was nice that they had basics such as dishwasher pods etc. Beds were very comfortable, area was quiet and no surrounding loud noises. The only minor it it’s not super close to things. Not a problem for us but worth noting for some travelers. I would definitely come back!

If you want a place between Glen Arbor & Traverse City then this is your place to stay. Property was as described & guide book helped us work the TV properly as well as suggestion for food, hikes & wineries. Location was terrific and don’t miss a visit to Cedar itself. I would highly recommend & would stay here again.

Everything about this cabin was exceptional. From the beautiful interior design to the spacious, secluded yard with a fire pit for s'mores. The kids, and we adults, loved it. It's located just a few miles from the town of Cedar that has a wonderful ice cream stand. Its also a very short drive to the Lake Michigan beaches and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Couldn't have found a better place to stay in the Traverse City area.
