Stayed Aug 15, 2024Everything about our 12 night stay at Tracey and Laurent's was wonderful. The location is ideal - the most beautiful of settings, on the river in the Morvan National Park with acres to amble through and enjoy nature. There's also the charming town of Semur en Auxois only 12 minutes away. We enjoyed a drink at the bar in the main pedestrian area and used the Intermarche for grocery shopping. The gite itself is everything you see in the photos - charming, roomy and light. It has been done to an excellent standard with sound and weather proof windows that ensure a cosy and private stay. Laurent and Tracey have full regard to privacy but are only a call away of you need them. On the one or two occasions we had a question they responded immediately with help. Thank you Tracey and Laurent for the beautiful memories you've enabled us to create. We will return.

Stayed Jul 8, 2024with modern comforts. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with the sounds of birds and a gurgling river, with a restored stone mill and outbuilding. A great place to unwind. I wish I could have stayed longer! Up the hill is the town, which offers some low key scenic walks with rolling wheat fields. A market is about a 10 minute drive away, delicious cheeses in Epoisses a 15 min drive, as is the old town of Semur en Auxois. The Canal du Bourgogne is also about 15 minutes drive, with its long bike paths. The apartment was exactly as pictured, and even nicer. Everything you need is there.

Stayed Jun 10, 2024The property was ideal for anyone who wanted to get away to enjoy natural surroundings in a beautiful area and yet be able to visit villages and towns steeped in history. As walkers and cyclists,we were able to explore the surrounding area at leisure.

Stayed May 27, 2024Unfortunately we had a very bad experience staying here. There is no privacy from the main house,or anywhere on the property. The wife was nice enough but the husband,Laurent, gave a very uncomfortable vibe right from the start.Made my fiance and I feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable,so much so that we left after one night of a 3 night booking.I would not recommend staying here to anyone.

Stayed Sep 9, 2023The gite was very nice. We had plenty of room to move around. The grounds were very pleasant to walk. The weather was gorgeous almost every day. We took so many pictures. The hosts were wonderful. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. Just a note that there are steps to the gite. Because it is in a valley, there was no phone coverage. Also, they were in the process of upgrading the wifi and that was limiting but I believe that that's been resolved. There were some very nice places to eat at Semur-en-Aixois. Also, there are some very interesting sites to visit that are within an hour's travel that we thoroughly enjoyed. Also, wonderful time in Dijon and Beaune.

Stayed Jun 18, 2023We had a great week staying in this lovely little gite. It was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The surrounding area was beautiful and tranquil and the gite is in a perfect location for visiting burgundy and morvan national park. Tracey and Laurent were great hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed May 29, 2023We spent a lovely week at Tracey's and Laurent's! The flat is located in a very calm region with good cennections to small cities in the natural park. But the calmness around the old and restorend mill alone is worth the stay!

Stayed Sep 3, 2022Tracey and Laurent are very friendly hosts. It’s a stunning place: a water mill and separate buildings, fantastically renovated by the owners, situated in a park-like valley the Sereine is running through. The holiday rental is exactly as described and some 15 mins drive away from the next bigger village (Semur en Auxois). So if you fancy a remote and quiet stay that’s the place to go!
