What a great find for our visit to Dewey beach! The cottage is very clean and comfortable and the location can’t be beat! Very close to the beach and many restaurants and shops. We really appreciated having the beach wagon, chairs, and umbrella and the reserved parking space is a great perk. Karen is a great host- proactive in communication and responsive to any questions we had. We will be back!

Cozy cottage with indoor and outdoor space, steps from the beach, comes with a parking spot and beach chairs, wagon, umbrella so super convenient. Restaurants and shops a block away. Everything you need for a perfect beach trip! Owner was super responsive. We plan to come back next year!

We always enjoy our stay at Sandy Pause. The cottage is in the ideal location, so close to the beach and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. It’s tucked away in one of the more quiet spots in Dewey Beach. We love having a screened-in porch and a deck outside to enjoy. We also appreciate the cleanliness of the unit. Karen is easy to reach if needed, and the neighbor is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We stayed for a long weekend at the beach with our two golden retrievers for the Golden Retriever Jubilee. We were immediately impressed when we arrived with all of the special touches to make the place dog friendly including dog bowels and even a treat jar on the counter. Though it’s called Sandy Pause, it could easily be Sandy Paws. Human and dog alike were happy to be only half a block from the sand! And humans were impressed by the added feature of heat pumps in each room, making the temperature very comfortable. We hope to be back!

Truly just a minute's walk from the beach. Quaint, comfortable, recently renovated and in great condition. Would gladly stay again! Such a friendly area!

We were charmed by this adorable vacation property! The entire property is tastefully decorated and had everything we needed in the kitchen. It’s a short walk to the beach and the wagon makes coming and going enjoyable. The host was responsive to my text questions. I highly recommend staying here! This was our second visit to Sandy Pause, and it was great to be back! This is the perfect location for beach and restaurant access, plus you can walk down the street and hop on the Jolly Trolly for a quick trip into Rehoboth. We enjoyed the screened in porch and front deck. It’s also nice to have a dedicated parking space. We hope to return next year.
