Stayed Dec 26, 2025Host was good. Water was cold and no coffee cups. So had a few missing items and unfortunately the hot water wasn’t available when we needed it.

Stayed Nov 13, 2025We had a wonderful stay at the lake and in the Eagles Nest Cottage. We appreciated the dog friendly option and our host was outstanding. We felt welcomed and well informed. Our host was only a text away and checked in on us occasionally. This specific cottage has access to a fire pit, that we enjoyed two nights in a row, a grill and an access trail to the lake just below the cottages deck. We and our dogs enjoyed exploring the shoreside of the lake and finding neat rocks. Lots of fossils down there! The view from the cottage windows and porch are beautiful. This cottage is adjoined/connected to the one directly in front of it, so we did hear our neighbors occasionally. Not a big deal for us, but note if it could be for you. We hiked the trail located past the Honors cabin, a sign noticeable to start you in the direction. It goes on for quite a distance so after about a mile in we turned around, I’d love to have known just how long it was. The Lighthouse Pub just down the hill from the cottages is delicious with great staff and we enjoyed everything we ordered, two nights in a row. The Tulsa Botanical Gardens are a 15 minute drive down the road, beautiful and peaceful. The Tulsa Zoo is about a 30 minute drive, always a fun time! Highly recommend this host and the location. We will be back!

Stayed Oct 16, 2025Serene lake view with cute cottages along the shore. Easy walk down to the water. We stayed one night and enjoyed the beautiful views and comfortable room. Check in was easy and they provided us with a printed map to find the room. For check out, we just needed to call!! Love that. Botanical Gardens are nearby! After checkout we enjoyed a walk through the garden.

Stayed Apr 17, 2025My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Eagles Nest. As we are getting up in years it would have been nice to know exactly how to access the cabin and parking. It was cold and rainy but very enjoyable, relaxing, and quiet.

Stayed Mar 12, 2025We were so lucky. We were the only cabin with folks staying. So it was super quiet. To sit out in the deck and watch the sunset fall down past the lake, from which we had a perfect view, was nothing short of beautiful and relaxing g.

Stayed Jul 12, 2024Some extra things to pack: Some type of dark tape to cover the bright light on AC unit that literally lights up the whole cabin. No buttons on the remote turn it off. Your own hand and dish soap as none is provided. Climbing rope to climb down the rocks just to make it safely to your front door as neighbors will probably block shared porch. No stairs directly to door although they could easily build some. Your own mattress if you prefer not to sleep on two inches of foam on top of box spring. Hiking boots if you even want to make it down the slope to the “beach” area. Calamine lotion if you do brave the terrain to get to the beach. Cutting board if you are planning on doing any type of cooking (some knives are provided). Money to tip the cleaner after you clean the entire place before checkout. The lake is very nice, one of the best I’ve been to in OK. But the cabins at cross timbers are lacking a lot! If you don’t have a boat DO NOT BOOK as there is no swimming area because of the large marina. If you do have a boat, consider how much you are willing to pay for a slip because this place is pricey and there is no place to park your trailer. And you better be excellent at maneuvering said trailer because parking gets very tight! Check in could have been simplified. Need to check in between 3-5pm. You have to sign an extra form which they seem to be annoyed if you actually want to read what you are signing and then they provided a code for the door. All online tasks.
