Daufuskie Island Beachfront 2 Bedroom Cottage

Beautiful place to stay if you’re in the area…..great communication with the property manager and very accommodating.

We only got to go for two nights and it was what we needed for that time. It was nice to walk out back to the beach. Good location.

Amazing property and great value for the family. Can’t beat the views in the morning and a place for your pet to run free on the beach!

My wife and I loved everything about this place. Absolutely beautiful and the island has its own magic. We definitely plan to return, she actually made me promise her we would come back every year. House is top notch and we couldn't have asked for a better location on the beach. Shout out to our host for being so understanding and helpful with our situation. It definitely made for one of our most memorable trips. Can't wait to plan for next year.

My husband and I stayed here for our baby moon, and it was perfect! We used daufuskie life for our shuttle to and from the house, and Lowcountry ferry for our shuttle to island from Hilton head. Both transportation’s were great and referred by host! We got to the island a little bit earlier than our reservation, but the host was more than welcome to accommodate us, and great with communication. We ended up having a slightly stormy weekend, but the location of this rental was perfect for quick access to the beach for shark teeth hunting and access to the pool when you don’t feel like getting sandy. There are some food options at the pool house, but would suggest being prepared with some groceries if you don’t feel like a 10 minute golf cart ride. The golf cart included was wonderful and came with a full tank. Nice layout of the house with wonderful view of the inlet from the Atlantic Ocean. Would stay here with friends or by ourselves again in a heartbeat.

We have stayed at this property more times than I can count. The hosts are lovely. The new renovations are GREAT! Highly recommend.

Great place for a weekend trip with the family!

We were in search of a quiet, peaceful beach vacation and that is what we found! Beautiful beaches, nice house, friendly people.

Right on a beautiful beach! Note: this stay does not come with salt, pepper, oil for cooking, or dish soap - we had to get a frantic grocery delivery from a friend coming in the next day to account for these.

Beautiful home & location. Quick beach access. Great communication. Daufuskie is our favorite and will continue to be a yearly trip. Only recommendations to the host I could recommend are - updating mattresses (we could feel the springs) & better hot water (we had cold showers) - we would still stay again!

It was perfect. I stressed over the food but everything went smoothly The cottage was clean and nicely appointed. It look 3 minutes to get to the beach and the sunrise and sunsets were magnificent We had our dog with us and he loved walking around Melrose. Our first trip was just a day trip, this one was four days, we are now looking for real estate and hoping to stay a month each season. Heaven on earth!

Great house in a beautiful location

Daufuskie island is amazing. I’ve been three times. This was the worse house I’ve been to so far but still okay. House was in great location. House was very sandy upon arrival, floors and counter tops. Hot water heater did not work for first two days but they did send someone to fix it and it did get fixed. No hand soap provided which to me should be part of essentials especially since you have to travel there by boat or ferry. Did not have enough towels and wash clothes for each person to have one. We killed five small roaches in the house while there (not palmetto bugs). House was roomy and had lots of seating and room for us eight women. I loved that it provided enough beach chairs for all of us.

We stayed here 3 years ago & we were so pleased to see the lovely upgrades to the cottage. It is close to the beach & a golf cart ride to anywhere on the island. We love it here & will return soon!

House needs work as noted by previous reviewers. We had,however, a 5 star experience. The view and the proximity to a virtually private beach was wonderful. We loved Dausfkie(our first time there). Tooling around in our golf cart and discovering hidden gems. The laid back vibe was just what we wanted. Residents are super friendly. I hope they do renovate the house. It deserves it. Great floor plan and lots of sunlight.

Lovely house right on the beach. Open feel to the house, clean, big windows. Peaceful and an absolute pleasure. Grateful to have the opportunity to have stayed there and already planning the next trip back!

Beautiful view and great location. House was clean with basic amenities. Needs some upgrades on the house- particularly the flooring , which is soft and sinks in places. Maybe water damage ??
