The chalet has wonderful views across open farmland to Criffel Mountain. You can walk out of the garden right onto the beach. This chalet suits disabled people as it has a walk in shower and a grab rail next to the toilet. There is free wi-fi.
The Steamboat pub in Carsethorn is a 5 minute walk along the beach. It does really good food and is dog friendly. You can also sit out on the water's edge.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Well designed property, that gave a good amount of space. It was warm and relatively well equipped. The beds were comfortable. Shower very powerful and hot. The internet has been improved recently, but is still slow, so do not expect to 'stream' anything (didn't bother us, but I know some people would expect this). I had thought from the description that we would be able to see the shore and sea from the property because of to close proximity - so this was a bit of a disappointment. Views of Criffel were stunning. lots of fantastic places to visit within easy distances.
