Crabpot Cottage is an immaculately presented, characterful property containing everything a couple needs for a relaxing break at the seaside including sea views and the best location in Beer. For all stays we offer a free parking permit and unlimited WIFI.
Available all year round, this property offers stays of 7 days or more, with Saturday changeovers, as well as short breaks and flexible arrival days in the low season (October to April).

One of only 3 houses within Beach Court, the property was originally built in 1903 and used as a holiday home for the renowned opera singer Dame Clara Butt. In 1918 the property became a hotel before being converted in the 1990s into a small collection of houses and apartments which can be found today.
Crabpot Cottage offers guests a holiday home in simply one of the best locations in Beer. 50 metres from the beach and slipway, this sunny, south facing cottage has a large double bedroom with Beer stone window seat offering views down to the sea. The room features a King size bed with white Egyptian cotton bedding and 24inch flat screen, walk in wardrobe. Also upstairs is the large bathroom with electric shower, bath, wash basin and WC.
Downstairs the cottage has a gorgeous cosy sitting room and dining area facing the slipway and beach. Comfortably furnished to a high standard including a 32inch flat screen HDTV with Amazon fire stick and a contemporary dining area. There is also a well equipped kitchen with new electric cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine and modern appliances throughout.
ROINTE digital radiators and towel rails have been installed throughout and ALL ELECTRICITY, HEATING (timed radiators), BED LINEN AND TOWELS ARE INCLUDED IN PRICE as we think our guests don’t want to worry about these things when on holiday!
We love Beer and look forward to sharing this magical part of the world with you. We’re on hand to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible and can advise on things to do and see if you wish.

Very good kitchen facilities. We could just see the sea from the main room and bedroom. The cottage is only about 150 metres from the start of the beach.

Lovely cottage really close to the beach and all the amenities in Beer. Parking permit was a great help and we loved the goodies on arrival. The cottage was lovely and warm and had all the equipment needed for a longer stay. We didn’t want to leave!

Cosy quaint cottage. Excellent location with adequate parking facilty nearby.Facilities are totally adequate and comfortable, but in some areas a bit of updating and a little refubishment would make a world of difference. However this did not detract from our visit. We had a very enjoyable stay in a gorgeous village with lots of local amenities.

UnfortunatelyWe were unable to travel to Beer as planned, however the owners of this property were amazing. As you can imagineWe are no spring chickens and moving from our family home of 37 years takes its toll, when I spoke to the owner she was like a breath of fresh air and agreed to let us move our dates.. We can not thank them enough.

Perfect location, I will miss looking out and seeing the sea everyday. It was a privilege to have this unique property and call it ours for the week. Superb value for a 7 night stay, with everything you need on your doorstep. Beer is the friendliest place in Devon and dogs are especially welcome! Thank you so much for having us xx

Love the position of this property, and such a great space, although having revisited it could do with a spruce up now as it is getting a little tired and a little more attention to detail on the cleaning!

Lovely well equipped cottage close to the beach. However, it was too cold for us. The only heating was a radiator in the lounge, kitchen and bedroom and a towel rail in the bathroom. You have no control over the heating as radiators are locked. The owners did come out and extend the times that the radiators were on but you really needed a extra heater so you could adjust the heating to suit yourselves and the weather. It was a shame as it is a fantastic cottage with comfy bed and sofa and we we had no problem cooking Christmas dinner. heating

A lovely stay in your cottage. Although very small, a really lovely place to stay. Cottage is fully equipped and very comfy and warm. Location wise, you’d be hard pressed to find better. The beach is a stones throw. The pubs - the Anchor (a green king pub) and the Barrel of Beer (lovely wet pub) and I highly recommend the Smugglers kitchen for dinner. The Bay Inn for lunches. Thank you for letting us stay in your gorgeous cottage.

Crabpot Cottage is in an ideal location in the village. It is so close to the beach which is visible from the front door. Everything one might need is provided which is so lovely of the owners to think of even little important things. On entering the cottage it immediately felt homely & smelt so clean. Bedlinen & towels were top notch, lovely fluffy towels & a nice warm radiator in the bathroom to put them on. Lovely welcome touch with Biscuits & Fudge. Hubby & i loved staying here as it was so cosy. we will definitely return sooner than later as we were sorry to have to leave. Absolutely first class. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage x

Crabpot Cottage is ideally placed for the beach and amenities. Everything one might need is provided. Downsides: Promised Welcome pack of local produce not provided only a pack of fudge and biscuits. Cottage, particularly bed linen smelt stale.
