Cozy Peninsula Beach Cottage for two - steps to the sand

This 1940s cottage was amazing! Its beautiful nautical/beach decor and large outdoor deck provided the perfect place to relax. The owner made checking in and out incredibly convenient enabling us to focus solely on enjoying our stay. We look forward to returning soon!

We enjoyed everything about this VRBO! Natalie was a great host. The place was clean, providing a few extra touches that made it special. We were concerned about parking but did not have an issue finding a space.

Great location on the peninsula. No ocean view, but you can hear the ocean, especially at night. The beach and bay are very close. Natalie is very nice and considerate.The bed is good as is the shower. The apartment is a little worn and the bedroom is tight. The living and dining area are good-sized.Night parking can be a challenge.Overall, a nice place to stay. We enjoyed our stay.

We have family (grandkids) in Long Beach and visit frequently. Have stayed everywhere from VRBO rentals in every end of town to the Marriott downtown. Although we have loved them all and have never had a bad experience, our most recent rental on the peninsula with Natlie is our favorite. Exactly as advertised, this rental was just what we were hoping for. Away from the hustle and bustle, quiet, clean and in a perfect location. We love the beach!!! Even though you can't actually see the beach, you can hear the waves and that was a big plus for me. Living in Ohio we never hear the waves!! Natilie is very kind and helpful and truly cares that you enjoy your stay. Can't think of anything negative to say, this rental was exactly what we needed. Thank You!

You can walk to the beach or the bay. The host is excellent and will communicate with you. There was fruit and chips and salsa available. Great cross ocean breezes. Perfect beach getaway!

I rented this based on its' walking distance to the beach & the bay. It's a cozy beach cottage on the top of the owner's residence with a nice patio where you can relax in or out of the sun much of the day. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean & freshly updated with all the utensils & kitchen appliances you'll need, including various coffee makers. Our host supplied us with welcome fruit & snacks, even changing to almond milk when I said we didn't use dairy! It was nice to have coffee & tea provided too. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood for exercise both morning & evening. Parking is street only so keep that in mind if you want to run out in the middle of the day on a weekend. The bedroom is small as is the half bath so a large person might have difficulty moving around. Regardless, it was comfortable and charming and clean. Towels were fluffy & bedding looked fresh & new. I would definitely rent this again!

I believe this is my 5th time at this property and it won't be my last. I have to travel for business and it is like home away from home. Much better than a one room hotel for a similar price. Nice walking path near by and safe. Very clean with all the amenities. Natalie, the owner is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about this property.

Our 9-day stay at the beach house was everything we had hoped for and more. Nestled between the ocean and the bay we appreciated that it was quiet and serene. The accommodations were spacious, comfortable and clean. Natalie provided amenities we never would have received at a hotel or probably any other vrbo: from a bowl of delicious tangerines on the dining table, three types of coffees, teas, oatmeal, tortilla chips plus berries, creamer and salsa in the fridge, to beach towels, chairs, sun & rain umbrellas, surf board, make up remover... I mean really... where else would you find such care!

Oh how we needed a special place to escape, relax and enjoy visiting our friends! This cottage was just that and more! It is perfectly appointed, clean and the host was lovely! We will be back!

This was our first time in California. The beach cottage was comfortable, inviting, yet private. It had everything we needed for our week long stay. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Natalie met us on arrival, made us feel quite at home and included snacks and breakfasts foods. She made herself available for any needs we had. A wonderful host!
