Cozy Lakefront Getaway

We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage during our snowboarding trip to Elk Mountain. The house was spotless and incredibly inviting, with a great wood stove that made the entire space feel extra warm and comforting after long days on the slopes. The beds were very comfortable, and there were plenty of blankets to keep us cozy—even with wind chills dropping to -5 outside.The hot tub was a great added bonus (even though we didn’t get a chance to use it), and having a slow cooker available was such a thoughtful touch. We loved being able to come back from a cold day on the mountain to a warm, ready-made dinner. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the tools and utensils we needed to cook comfortably. Just be sure to bring your own spices, as stores are a bit of a drive if you forget something.Overall, this cottage was the perfect home base for a winter getaway—clean, cozy, well-equipped, and clearly cared for. We’d absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing mountain escape.

Property and lake were beautiful. Host put some very nice touches into the cabin that made it homey. Nice, quiet neighborhood.

Perfect spot for a getaway. Cozy with all necessary gadgets, grill, canoes, paddle boat, fire pits, fire place. Overall, I recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet front lake property for the family. The host was very professional and always responded promptly to any questions.

Nice cabin to bring family for a lake vacation. Very quiet, especially on weekdays. Owners were courteous and very responsive. We had a great time.

This is the second year our family stayed here. We had a wonderful time in the lake and hot tub, and the fishing was awesome! Definitely planning on going again next year!

The property was quiet and clean and very dog and kid friendly! The Lake is beautiful and quiet .There is not a lot to do in the area so pack your games and food ! We would go back in a heartbeat!!! This cute lake house was perfect for our family of three and dog. Great fishing off the dock and in the lake via canoe. Amenities were plentiful and we especially enjoyed paddle board, washer/drier, yard & games, hot tub, and fire pit. Kitchen had ample supplies for cooking & dining. Decor was quaint and beds were very comfortable. We’d definitely come back!

My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing long weekend. The check in process was easy and the house was clean. We enjoyed taking the canoe and kayaks out on the water. We appreciated having a nice hot tub right outside as the afternoon got colder. It was nice having wood available to build a fire in the fire pit. I would have liked to stay a little longer.

If you want to be on a gorgeous lake in a comfortable house in a serene setting, this is it. Host was amazing. I couldn't find the wifi password (which was posted on the wall...) and he immediately replied to help. I briefly lost keys, and he was ready with another set. Seriously, I think I may have been the dizziest guest he ever had but he was gracious and helpful. The house is very comfortable. Kitchen is well-stocked. There are plenty of linens, towels and other comforts available (although you can save a bit by bringing your own towels and sheets if you want). I will definitely be back - this one is really special!

We could not have asked for a better cottage or location. We wanted to go somewhere and relax, and this was it. It was far enough away to feel off the grid, but close enough to(very cute and friendly) mom and pop’s. Having kayaks and canoes there was amazing, we got to start our mornings with some exploring of the lake. The fish were biting every time we set up on the dock. There is a new hot tub on the property that was not listed, and it was the best way to end the day. The fire pit was a great way to relax after dinner. The cottage is roomy, and stocked with everything you could need. Very kid and dog friendly. They had a blast exploring! The host was extremely polite and friendly, sending us all his favorite places to go, and letting us know all the ins and outs of the place. The host was enthusiastic about his cottage and rightfully so.

Our family had a fantastic time at Lewis Lake. The cottage was clean and spacious. We had a great time fishing, kayaking and relaxing on the lake.
