Great Vacation Place! We spent a week at this perfect little cottage; loved that it had everything that we needed: comfortable mattress (good quality, medium support foam.) A/C, well equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher (woohoo!) A/C, kayaks, etc. to go out on the peaceful lake.We spent a lot of time sitting on the porch, or the dock, and watched the meteor shower from the upper deck; Walked to the ice cream place; and found a nearby golf course (Conklin), so my BF could use the driving range, and we could have lunch.... and swimming, of course! The lake was a comfortably warm, and no concern about speedboats, because there are none! The water by the dock is probably 3 1/2 feet deep; so great for kids and for mom or dad to comfortably stand and hold the little ones.As a 60 adult, one thing I would have appreciated is a ladder to get out of the water. Getting in was OK with jumping or sliding in off the dock, but I wasn't really thrilled at having to walk out of the lake, sinking into the silty shallows. Scrambling back up on the dock, directly from the water, I think would be out of most adults abilities. Anyway the swimming was awesome, and I was able to swim around the lake!We noticed some sound from daytime, intermittent traffic, on the road across the lake. Not loud, but seemed a little incongruous given the general peacefulness of the place. Probably not noticeable, if you are splashing around (as opposed to sitting and reading.)Bring drinking water!!!!!

We have been visiting friends on Laurel Lake for over 19 years, and the location of this home was perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful view while having our morning coffee and lunch while sitting around the round table. The dock was in excellent shape, and we enjoyed doing yoga on the dock in the morning. The owner was responsive to all of our text messages.

This house is located on the warmer side of Laurel Lake with no neighbors or other boats around the entire 2 mid-week days that we stayed here. If you ever wanted to learn how to kayak, this is the lake for that as the water surface was calm . The brand new air conditioning is quiet and keeps the entire house cool and dry inside. The huge wrap around porch was awesome to sit in during a heavy downpour. Andrea was the best host we ever had

We loved our time in this lakehouse. It is steps from the lake with its own dock and kayaks and a canoe and a rowboat, and we were in heaven! The porch was lovely! The living area and the kitchen were fantastic and spotless! Having to deal with thousands of students at graduation, I did not want to stay at a highway hotel where the windows don’t open. I needed decompression and beauty and this lakehouse was so close to Bing and exactly the scenic getaway we needed. However we didn’t know we couldn’t drink the water there. We are big water drinkers so this is something I think people should know in advance. But now you know! Bring water. Also we are not getting any younger, (60s, both of us), and the ship’s ladder up and down to/from the bedrooms was not simple especially in the middle of the night. So do consider that when booking. Also the ride up from NYC was harrowing the last 20 miles or so — if we’d known we would have gone to Bing first and traveled to the lakehouse from there because that route was lovely and easy. I want to say how fabulous it was to be able to leave graduation and the crowds and drive 15 minutes to the lake and be out on the water in a kayak for the afternoon. Truly heavenly and worth every cent!

We stayed at the lake house for about a week and had the most lovely time. The lake is so relaxing and was quiet and chill which we needed. The house itself was perfectly sized for the two of us, perfectly cozy with plenty of space to relax. Loved chilling by the dock and on the porch just looking at the lake.

This property is perhaps my favorite vacation rental I’ve ever booked. The lake is so QUIET—no motorboats, and very few others out most of the time, it felt like we had it all to ourselves! The number of water “toys” the hosts provide were more than enough to keep us all active and having fun every day. I am admittedly not one who loves a “sit and relax” vacation, but my husband is, so this property allowed us to both do what we wanted—I could go kayaking several times a day, and he could sit on the dock! The house has everything you’ll need for your stay—the hosts recommend not drinking the tap water, but provided plenty of safe water in the fridge. We bought groceries in town on our way in, and did not need to leave again for a thing! Thanks Andrea for a wonderful stay for our family! We are already ready to come back next summer!

There’s a balcony and a porch to enjoy views of the lake. The kitchen is well equipped. Comfortable dining/living room. Access to bedrooms is a challenge due to the ship ladder.

A beautiful property with a great porch and an awesome dock. Kayaks provided brought many smiles, as did the water mat and the paddle board. I just wish I had known that there was no air conditioning. That was the only downside to our trip.
