Cozy cottage on the river, minutes from skiing, horse events, and so much more!

My daughter & I had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage conveniently located to downtown Woodstock that provides a quiet place to relax among the trees next to a babbling brook. The horse theme throughout the cabin is charming but the impeccable attention to detail is unmatched. Anything and everything you could want or need for a comfortable stay is provided. There is even a heated toilet seat and a mini bar! And the host's binder of local recommendations offers something for everyone from skiiers to foodies to equestrians to weekend warriors to those who just want the perfect Vermont country getaway. Hospitality at the highest level...wholeheartedly recommend!

Beautiful location! All we needed for a quick stop on our road trip. Even though there was a minor glitch with the door code, host was quick to respond and remedy the situation. Only thing I would suggest is take extra laundry pods with you! Only one is provided and there are no stores nearby. We booked this place with a wash/dry opportunity and we were disappointed that there wasn't more than 1 pod available, even for purchase as they had a pantry of other items available for purchase.

Beautiful, quiet. The house was well kept, tasteful, and comfortable. There's a nice little cafe across the street but my favorite part was falling to the sound of the stream right outside. Great place, will be back.

Check in and check out here was so easy! great proximity to okemo, it served as an awesome home base for my friends and I! I’d highly reccomend.

We loved the place and will stay again

My wife and I were on a week-long Fall roadtrip in the northeast and this was our first stop for two nights. Such a nice, cozy & clean place to stay. The creek out back is magical. I sat out there for hours just listening to it. It’s about 10 miles away from Woodstock, VT. Can’t say enough good things about this place & will definitely try to stay here again one day if we find ourselves back in the area. The host was very responsive & the check-in/check-out process was easy. 10/10

Perfect for a small group to stay for GMHA horse trials! Conveniently located and has everything you need! 7 mins from show grounds is unbeatable! Clean, great communication, and easy check in/out…Thanks for hosting!!!

We loved our stay at the Dark Horse Cottage. It was close to everything we wanted to do. We loved being near the little creek. They thought of everything for amenities. It was perfect for what we needed.

Really enjoyed our 3 nite stay while leaf-peeping. Cottage is quiet, cozy, clean and furnished with every amenity needed. Beds are both very comfortable. Owners easily accesible via text. Our stay here truly was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip.
