Cozy Charming Cottage ! 2 Min to Beach 3 min walk to Restaurants & Shops

Responsive host, amazing location. Great outdoor back yard space (fire pit, patio furniture, grill, heated shower). Well stocked kitchen (hurray for lots of utensils!). Single story with one step to front porch- very easy access for mobility restricted individuals. Cozy and charming, as described!

Location is what makes this cottage receive a good rating. Steps away from the beach. Beautiful beach. House and backyard are in need of some attention. No beach chairs, which was an inconvenience for us. There is a pile of old rusty, broken chairs in the backyard that need to be taken to the dump. It certainly did not match the photos advertised.Beds were comfortable. Supplies were sparse. We were only given a half a roll of paper towels, and a few rolls of toilet paper for a four day stay. No wine glasses. Again, it was comfortable enough, and you can’t beat the location. With a little extra TLC, the place could get better ratings.

Our group of four absolutely loved staying in this cottage. We all agreed we would be happy to live there . While the cottage initially looked like it could use some maintenance on the outside - it didn’t. It’s a true old Florida cottage.Inside it’s so well decorated and comfortable. The beds were comfy, bathrooms good and well stocked with clean towels. There were plenty of beach towels, too.And a short walk past one condo, then across a street to a beach park directly by the ocean. We got up early to see the sunrise on the Atlantic. Also many good restaurants nearby. We especially loved The Dockside (on the river) and Metro Diner. We sure hope to return someday! Thank you for a great stay !

Great stay!

Our family of five stayed for a long weekend to visit family in the Jacksonville area. This was a great place to stay. Close to restaurants, easy access to nearby attractions/day trips and great location to the beach. Already planning to book again.

Stayed here for my daughter’s graduation celebration, the house was well equipped to handle our family and the back courtyard was perfect for our family gathering, provided plenty of shade for everyone to sit outside. Loved being so close to the beach. Would love to stay here again and recommend it

We had an amazing time enjoying each other in his intimate setting along with the opportunity to watch the sunrise on the beach. Definitely will return over and over again.

Cottage perfect for family needing separate spaces with doors and was not the typical open plan. It was perfect. Very tastefully decorated home that is obviously loved and cared for by owner. Also, stocked with essentials generously. Jean is a fabulous hostess.

We have used this little blue cottage as our home away from home for several years now, and we're heartbroken when we miss an opportunity to stay there. The host is very kind and accommodating, the property is superb, the location is divine, and I start counting the days until next year's return the moment I leave. 5 star, hands-down!

First, front door very difficult to learn the trick to getting in. Same with round shower water control. Should be directions posted to indicate how to operate. No plug in same bathroom. 1934 vintage home and architecture interesting. Definitely needs updating inside and out. Stocked well and wonderful location to beach. Great beach area and very quiet. Jean was very responsive to our needs.. Than you Jean.

Close to a beautiful park next to beach.

What a quaint old cottage with original old charm. Loved the outside area in back to relax at end of day. Easy to beach. Quite happy.

We celebrated my mom’s 80th birthday. All 12 of us that were able to make it had a blast hanging out.

We absolutely loved our stay. Second time staying in this cottage with all my kids, plus our dogs. This beautiful cottage is conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants and souvenirs shops. Location and beach access is perfect. Highly recommend

While I wasn't there, I visited quite often. I would highly recommend that they consider a banister rail at the front steps. It is a dangerous step-down from the porch level, especially for seniors, such as myself.. It could result in a legal suit, if someone fell and were hurt. Otherwise a wonderful vacation spot.

This house was perfect for our family beach getaway with our two teenage sons! Great space! plenty of room, but with a cozy vintage beach cottage feel! Beach access was incredibly convenient! We enjoyed fishing at Jax Beach Pier, a day trip to St. Augustine and plently of beach and ocean time. Close to lots of great shops and restaurants! Bearded Pig BBQ was our favorite! We definitely will be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The beach cottage is lovely, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our time there, and we appreciated the closeness to the beach and the availability of parking. Usually we had at least 2 spaces to share with family whose rental was farther away. They also could rinse off their sand on the outdoor shower and use the bathroom near the back door—all very well set up. The cottage was clean and very well stocked, with dishwashing and dishwasher soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each bathroom, etc. When the WiFi didn’t work, we got a quick response from the property manager, who told us that the local Verizon was out, but that they would restore it soon, as they did. Nice to get the info quickly, as we had someone who needed to work. In one bathroom, the large shower had 2 sets of controls and shower heads. A sign said that one of them had reverse temps (cold would be hot, and hot cold). We tried it, keeping that in mind, but one was hot and the other hotter. Since the other end of the shower had controls that worked great, it was not a problem, though the shower head was low for our tall folks. Considering our proximity to the beach, construction nearby, and large condos across the street, noise could have been a problem, but it really was not. The listing is very accurate, check-in simple, location great, and management good. If we came to Jacksonville Beach again, we would gladly stay here again.
