The is the cutest little octagon cabin! It is perfect for a couple, big open room and everything we needed. The hot tub was delightful, the kitchen well-stocked, and the back deck view was to die for. Thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at The Nest!
My husband and I were in Big Canoe for a wedding and spent a long weekend at The Nest. We loved everything about our stay - the cabin is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to stay cozy all weekend. The views of the lake and mountains are amazing and the whole area is quiet and peaceful. The owners are great and make check-in/check-out a breeze. We highly recommend The Nest to anyone considering a stay in Big Canoe. Hope to be back soon!
Great experience...The Nest lived up to its name...cozy, peaceful...a respite! Tree house was Awesome...and views from porch were gorgeous...straight from heaven ???
Just a lovely little place to spend our wedding night in!!!! Every little detail is so sweet!!! Would love to come back again!!!!!
My husband and I enjoyed our short respite at The Nest. It is such a cozy cabin; tastefully decorated, pristine and updated! The owners were quick and courteous in their responses. We had to cut our stay short because of an unforeseen circumstance; the owners were kind enough to refund the night with no hassle. They go above and beyond to ensure their guests enjoy their stay! We certainly did!! Thank you for a lovely visit!!
The Nest is a beautiful place to stay. The owners have thought of everything to make the stay AMAZING! We spent much of our time sitting on the deck looking out at the scenic view. We ate all of our meals on the tall table overlooking the lake and mountain. The inside of the cabin is so cute and everything is up to date and decorated rustic/modern. You can enjoy the view from anywhere in the cabin. So many large windows. Everything was just so pretty to look at. The location was great. We spent one day hiking to the falls at Amicalola State Park and then soaked our tired, out of shape legs in the hot tub. We spent our second day hiking the trails at Big Canoe. These trails were peaceful and made for a great, easy hike. I would recommend to bring your own food and cook your meals. Once at the cabin, you won't want to leave to go find food. We found it much more relaxing to have everything we needed when we arrived, as stores were a bit of a drive. We enjoyed our getaway and plan to return to The Nest in the future! Big Canoe is a gem we never new about. :)
We were so impressed with how beautiful the Nest is. It was super comfortable and perfectly decorated. We went hiking, visited the clubhouse and enjoyed sitting on the deck for hours enjoying the gorgeous view. This was a short trip for us and had no idea how many activities are available. We will definitely be back next year for a longer stay!
This quiet cabin with beautiful views is tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is the perfect romantic get-away. The cabin is completely updated, renovated and pristine for comfort. The area is beautiful and we took advantage of nearby hiking, canoeing, dining & shopping. The owners provided a book in the cabin with useful information. Additionally, they were very responsive to any questions before & during our stay. The Nest is worth the trip!
My husband and I were in Big Canoe for a wedding and stayed at the nest. The pictures don't do it justice! It was so cozy and extremely clean. I don't know if our travels will ever bring us back to Big Canoe but if they do I know where we will be staying!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The owners are great to work with and very responsive! The cabin was beautifully decorated and upgraded. Found all of the kitchen ware we needed. Gorgeous views! We enjoyed coffee on the porch each morning. Perfect for a couple. Very clean and beautiful. We paid $10 per person one day to take advantage of the amenities - pool, lake, canoes, paddleboards. Will definitely be coming back! We want to use this as our retreat in the mountains from now on!
