Stayed Jun 25, 2016Our group of 7 retired couples shared Chateau Cruguil in early July. We have stayed in many large houses over the past 30 years and this has to have been one of the very best. Unlike other French manoirs/chateux we have stayed in the facilities really are very modern & of a good standard. The grounds are wonderful! Even though we wanted to explore the area as much as possible on some days some of our group never ventured out - the gardens really are a delight. The chateau is ideal for exploring the Pink Granite coast & surrounding area. The kitchen was a little on the small side for 14 people but the equipment was excellent - one of the best dishwashers we've ever come across! The website can be a bit confusing about bedroom & bathroom details - in summary there are 2 full en-suite bedrooms, then on the top floor there are 3 bedrooms with en-suite showers & basin but these share a single WC on that floor & then the other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom/basin/WC. Although some bedrooms have a bath there was always a shower above. Finally there is a cloakroom downstairs with a basin & WC. There's an excellent tennis court, a pool table & table football. A very convenient boulangerie only 20 minutes walk away & a huge Leclerc supermarket only 5 minutes drive away. It is on the edge of Lannion but you could be in the middle of nowhere once you have driven off the main road & up the long driveway to the chateau. It was really peaceful. A Wonderful Experince. A BIG THANK YOU to the owners for letting us share such a great property & grounds.
