Ideally located in the village with local community shop and pub (make sure you book well in advance if you want to eat in the pub). The cottage is beautiful with exposed beams and comfy sofa’s. There is so much to do nearby, Claydon House, Bletchley Park, Stowe, Waddesdon. The small town of Buckingham nearby has a great butchers/deli Smith & Clay who also do hot breakfast to takeaway or eat in the Courtyard. Follow Mathew’s Way walk from the village to see some stunning countryside and if you like horses check our what’s going on at Addington equine centre 10 minutes up the road.

Very clean, well-kept cottage. Convenient parking in driveway and great communication with the owner. Limited options in restaurants within walking distance as the pub across the street is only open on select days of the week. Otherwise, had a great stay!

Well situated for Bletchley Park, NT properties and more. Quiet and comfortable to return to after a day out. A part time pub opposite but with no food this summer. Luckily the village shop is well stocked.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The town is in a great location to explore surrounding areas including the Warner Bros. Studios Harry Potter experience and Bletchley Park just to name two - there are many more. We had the good fortune to be there when the aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales came into Portsmouth which is a great town to visit. There are many small towns just a few miles away to explore. The cottage was perfect for us. It sits back off the road so it is quiet and it had everything we needed. Rachel and Pete couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. The people in town are lovely. We met many of them at the village shop and while attending the play Downtrodden Abbey performed by the local drama group, MADS. Seeing both the aircraft carrier and the play were unexpected treats but, even without them, we would highly recommend staying here.

Clean, warm and well-equipped the cottage had everything we needed for our stay, and more. Situated in a peaceful village with an interesting history (visit the church) the cottage was lovely to return to after visiting places nearby.

Well it was a change, visits to Bletchley, London and various walks. Great area for walking, easy to stay off the roads. Also meant we felt we earned our meal at The Pilgrim, which was fabulous. Night times were very quiet so good nights sleep

Only stayed two nights as in the area for an event but the property and village were lovely. Didn’t expect to need to use the log burner in July but that’s the British summer for you and it was such a fab addition!
