The Rogue Valley really is unique. The mild climate, idyllic natural setting, and relative isolation have made the valley a popular retirement destination. But it has also attracted families looking to move here for the small-town quality of life, as well as adventure seekers looking to take advantage of all the outdoor activities.

For the adventure seekers, the Rogue Valley is a virtual mecca. Hiking and mountain biking trails abound; in Jacksonville trails start right in town and offer miles of hilly and forested adventure.

There are plans underway to build a trail system that spans from south of Grants Pass to the Jacksonville Forest Park trail system, where it meets the “JackAsh Trail” in Jacksonville, to provide a continuous trail from Jacksonville to Ashland.

There are beautiful campgrounds close by in every direction, from coastal parks to area lakes to riverside sites. You’ll find world-class fishing and rafting along the Rogue River among other area rivers, and places such as Applegate Lake and Emigrant Reservoir that offer paddle boarding and kayaking, as well as waterslides, fishing and motorized boat activities.

Our cottage was very clean, tidy and had all the amenities. The cute private gravel pathway and private back porch was an added bonus. The location was perfect. Only blocks from everything J’ville has to offer (Britt, shopping, hiking trails, restaurants, etc). We usually stay at the Jacksonville Inn, but this place is our go-to now. The owners were accommodating and communicative during our stay as well. It was the perfect place for a getaway.

The space was perfect. Super clean, updated, every detail down to the detail of the light fixtures and updated kitchen. Hope to get another opportunity to visit. Easy walk to the Britt as well as walkable food and wine options. Loved the little trails so close as well.

This is a well-managed, well-appointed, and well-situated cottage in the heart of Jacksonville. If you visit this town, you will want to stay here. This was a return trip for us, an indication of how we regard this VRBO site.

Room was very clean and lots of amenities. A/C worked great, which was very needed during the 100 degree weekend we were there! Plus, close walking distrance to everything. The only thing of note was that there needs to be an additional hand towel and washclothes in the bathroom, and a kitchen/hand towel for the ktichen.

the place was very comfortable with a nice atmosphere. It is in a great location, easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping and winery tasting rooms. Sandy was kind and available for anything we may have needed.

Perfect Location, you can walk to restaurants, shopping, Britt Festival and hiking trails. We rented both the A & C units. Both units were clean and the décor was very nice and modern. Only downside is from the C unit you can hear traffic noise from the main road.

The keyless entry was so convenient for two people! The bed was super comfy, and it was very quiet there at night despite being in town. Beautiful decor, new, very clean furnishings. Not having a waterproof counter or sink in the studio kitchenette was very inconvenient and impractical, having to use the bathroom sink. The ceiling lights are too bright. It would be really nice if at least one of the doors had a screen so we could open it for the cool evening temps and not use the AC.
