Stayed Oct 4, 2024It's on top of the hill, windy road up so about a 3-5 minute drive to the main Street. They are people in the house upstairs but we're really friendly and told me to not worry about making noise. Good place to stay!

Stayed Oct 24, 2025The Hilltop Hideaway is a very comfortable and secluded property. We loved the privacy and seeing all the deer while driving between Jacksonville and the property. It is located about 2 miles above Jacksonville. The kitchen is well supplied for cooking.

Stayed Aug 24, 2025Beautiful place to stay. We came to Jacksonville to see a show at the Britt. Less than 5 minute drive to town. lots to see and do in a very small town. Good food everywhere Breakfast Lunch Dinner. The owners were away so we had the whole hill to ourselves, well Us and the abundance of wild life. Plenty of deer and turkeys. Comfortable place, lots of room. Big kitchen and bedrooms. Spent lots of time on patio, BBQ nice patio furniture did not need the fire place we went in the summer. We will return soon.

Stayed Sep 5, 2024Property is just as it appears in pictures, maybe bigger. Sits up on a hill above Jacksonville in the pines and redwoods. Lots of deer (and fawns) and wild turkeys on every drive down to town. Kitchen is very well stocked and very nice - lots of light. Loved sitting out on the patio in the mornings. Very comfortable bed and well stocked bathroom - full sized washer and dryer. Beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the solitude up on the hill and didn’t mind the short drive to town, but it is not walkable to tasting rooms, restaurants etc in town. Recommend the historical trolley (excellent) and the wine trolley. We really enjoyed Jacksonville and the surrounding area - just beautiful. Lots of hiking and wine tasting - also did Crater Lake and the redwood in CA. Really enjoyed our stay and the manager was very responsive. Only idea for improvement is a coffee bean grinder as we found some good coffee shops with beans. Great stay!

Stayed Aug 31, 2024Lovely location, not too far out of town, but just far enough to feel like you are in the country. Beautiful city lights under the stars from the patio. Clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. Easy entry and communication with host. I would stay here again for sure.

Stayed Jul 4, 2024All the decor and appointments are lovely. The fully stocked kitchen that included spices, paper products, coffee creamers and K-Cups were greatly appreciated. Great assortment of pots, pans, bakeware, containers, glassware and dishes, plus the electric pellet BBQ & Fire pit. Comfy beds, lovely bedding, soft bath towels, smart TV and nice furnishings. You can tell that a great deal of effort was made to think of everything, and provide more than that, for a short term stay. The extra added features of the owner caught cans of Tuna and local bottle of Wine was a delightful touch. The trip up the hill is a bit daunting at first but once mastered easy to navigate. We were there during 110+ heat wave. This is not a common occurrence, but the air conditioning was key, and I am glad we had it! Jacksonville is a wonderful place to visit with a great many local wineries. The Britt amphitheater is really a must and of course Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Stayed Jun 21, 2024Hilltop Hide Away was awesome! Very clean, comfortable and relaxing, with a bottle of wine and specialty canned tuna fish waiting for us. The decor was very cute. Stocked with all sorts of appliances, spices, tupperware etc. Sitting on the patio in the morning was great especially when a doe and her fawn walked passed on the road. In the evening, patio lights come on, very cute. It is situated in trees, so the view was limited, but very private. Easy drive up the hill. Hilary was very helpful and responded quickly to my questions. Jacksonville is such a cute town and the Wine Trolley Tour was fun.
