Cottage By The Sea At Cayucos where serenity is found, 3 minute walk to beach

Me and My Husband Chose This Place To Stay For Our honeymoon and we enjoyed it completely! Very nice host, staff and neighbors Loved how close the cottage was to the beach and we very much enjoyed the quiet. We very much plan to book the cottage in the future

Very clean and nice property. Small, but everything you needed.

This charming cottage was located in a very safe, quiet, residential neighborhood with easy access to the beach, whether driving or walking. It was just about 2 blocks or so to the main street through Cayucos, rendering it easy to locate the nearby grocery store, and just little further were several dining options and a variety of other shops as well. The cottage was clean, beautifully decorated, and it was fun living like a local while I was there. I highly recommend this cottage and will certainly hope it's available the next time in the area. Oh, and the owner was easily contacted if need be as well.

Thank you Carole for renting us your wonderful cottage in Cayucos. My husband and two small dogs were very comfortable and had everything we needed. The cottage is cosy and is steps away from the ocean. The beach is dog friendly, the neighbourhood is quiet and the people are friendly. The cottage is close to other towns south along the coast and Paso Robles so we had lots to do, and many great restaurants to choose from. Carole was quick to respond to a question I had. We would definitely come back here again.

Perfect in every way. Carol provided Everything we could possibly need for our dogs; toys, towel, shaded kennel, doggie bags.. the beach is literally 2 blocks away, great quiet neighborhood and exactly as described . We will definitely be back again.

March 19-26, 2026The cottage is so cute, clean and comfy. Tucked behind the main house it feels very private. The description and photos are accurate. The host went above and beyond with her communication and replies to our questions. The kitchen is perfect and has everything you need. We were very comfortable and highly recommend!

nice quite place, small but comfortable. Ants are inevitable so follow instructions to keep the counters clear of crumbs. Carol is explicit on details and care. We would stay again, no problem.

The only issue was we could only book 3 night this trip. We explored Morro Bay and cruised the Central Coast Line. Our host Carol is terrific and made our stay memorable. Can wait for our trip to The Cottage.

This is a lovely, comfortable cottage that provided me with space to relax and rest. It is completely furnished with all cooking needs, a large bathroom, and a very comfy bed. It is only steps away from beach access and is less than a mile from town center and restaurants. I loved my time here!

This is such a great place to stay if you have small dogs! Very close to the beach for walking them, very convenient and clean for my 2 small dogs. As we have stayed here several times, my dogs are very comfortable and happy here and really like staying here. Also the cottage is extremely clean and well cared for. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and plates/cups, etc. Very comfortable accommodations for us humans as well as for our dogs. I strongly recommend this place, and I will be back for sure several times in the future. We won't / don't stay anywhere else!

Didn't use kitchen. Fridge, excellent.TV was complicated. Pet friendly is always important priority. Very nice neighborhood. Host was accessable.

This was our fifth stay at the Cottage and we love it. As always, it was clean and comfortable and it is in a great location.

The cottage is a perfect size for two and our dog. Great neighborhood to walk pets and very easy access to the beautiful beach. We made good use of the outdoor shower after romps on the beach. Kitchen and bathroom are stocked with everything necessary. We didn’t use the toaster oven, preferring to eat out. Overall very comfortable! Carol provided lots of information on Cayucos and great dining tips too! Thank you!

The cottage is very nice and private in a quiet neighborhood only about a block from beach access. The host lives in Bakersfield but is very responsive. We enjoyed our short stay in Cayucos and definitely would return here.

My stay was excellent. The refrigerator went out and it was fixed immediately. The neighborhood is very quiet and pleasant. Planning on going back.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage and discovered a few new restaurants with Taco Temple now one of our favorites for their huge servings and good prices.

The cottage was wonderful. Perfect for my husband and I. Very quiet neighborhood. Beach was close with easy access. Carol the property owner was great.

Next door dogs were a bit annoying with all their barking, when we were there, but thankfully we were gone every day to beach, hike’s and wine tasting. The shower had great water pressure and hot water that last while taking a shower. I loved the outside shower with hot water as well to wash off the sand from the beach, especially for my dog. Definitely will return again

We have stayed at this cute little cottage several times. It’s quite, peaceful and very close to the beach. It’s one of our favorite places to stay.

We spent our 25th wedding anniversary here in Cayucos and it was our first time visiting the area. The bungalow is literally steps from the ocean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is so cute and very quiet. The property manager was easy to get ahold of and gave us great recommendations on where to eat and which beaches were the best for beach-combing which is a favorite past time of ours. Will be coming back to this great rental next year for our 26th anniversary.

I loved this cottage! Family was staying nearby and this gave me my own space while enjoying them all. There is a very comfortable living area, small but well supplied kitchen, and a large bedroom with closet and dresser. The host is easy to contact if need be. It was wonderful being just a very short walk to the beach and we were able to catch the sunset most evenings. The cottage is perfect and I hope to stay there again!

This was the perfect place to stay. I could get up in the morning drink my coffee and do yoga while my husband was still sleeping and then walk a half block to the beach when he got up. We have friends that live in Morro Bay and it was literally a five minute drive. Plus Carol was a great host who answered my quiestions and offered information about the area.

My dog and I stayed 4 nights at the cottage. The cottage is perfect for one or 2 adults -as stated in the description. It looks small from the outside, but it is a very adequate 1 bedroom with full bath, small kitchen, table for two dinning and very comfortable living area apartment. There is a large VRBO rental house in front of the cottage. There is a patio in between the two. In fact, in the picture of the front of the cottage, the covered table is on that patio. The large house is a two story. Their back deck looks down on the cottage. The time period I was there the big house was not rented and my dog and I had the property to ourselves. The driveway runs along the side of the big house all the way to the cottage. Normal parking for the cottage is on the street (the space is marked with a reserve sign). The driveway is reserved for the big house, but since it wasn't occupied when I was there I had the driveway. It made unloading and loading the vehicle a breeze. You can't beat the location - one house away from Pacific Ave.! October can be cool and cloudy, but we enjoyed perfect Fall weather: cool mornings and blue sky and sunshine!

Property owner is very friendly, helpful and great communicator through VRBO messages & texts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beach cottage. The bed was extremely comfortable and the cottage neat and clean. Our little dog enjoyed his walks along the beach and surrounding neighborhood. A great place to relax and enjoy the coast.

This was our fourth time staying at the cottage with our dogs. It is still as cozy and comfortable as ever with some new updates. It is in a great location near the beach and perfect for dog guests. The outdoor shower is great for cleaning them up after the beach. We will be back again soon.
