We very very happy with the location and size of the property and parking available. There were just a few things I feel could be improved on. We were a group of 6 ... 3 adults and 3 children. There were only 5 chairs at the dining table as one was pushed aside broken which meant we had to take a small decorative type chair from the hall so we could eat together. Not enough seating in the living room...only enough for 5 people. Also the freezer was badly in need of defrosting. Also knives in kitchen badly needed to be sharpened for cooking. Hot water was not working so we had to use the immersion for the duration of our stay. I believe these could and should be sorted immediately

We arrived later than we thought we would and there was no outdoor lighting, nor was there any available. The house was very grubby, with dust and cobwebs everywhere. The kitchen in general was lacking cleanliness - sink accessories (brush, dishcloth etc) were disgusting! The handles and cupboard doors felt sticky, and made the whole place feel generally unclean. Outside the back door, where the bins are located was dirty, bin full of flies and rubbish. It was also quite dangerous as there is a lot of moss on the ground which was slippery from the rain. A large cabinet has a drawer front which isn't attached to anything, so could fall out very easily, especially dangerous if you have young children! There wasn't enough cutlery for the guests. The TV in the dining area has no signal and the wifi is almost non existent! The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. A window in one bedroom upstairs doesn't close properly so there is a lot of wind & moisture that comes through it, as well as the noise from the waterfall across the road. We did, however, enjoy our stay in Clifden and the surrounding area, which is stunning.

Great location for exploring the town, its many pubs, restaurants and shops. Comfy house with well equipped kitchen and dining area. Perfect site for day trips in every direction.

We found the house dirty: food left in the fridge and in the shelves. Freezer in mini fridge had about 5” of frost. Open bag of peas and a carton of ice cream in the freezer. Several empty soda cans left on counters. Beds super hard and uncomfortable. Tiles in bathroom upstairs not attached. Utility room filthy and filled with construction materials. Black bags for towels were nowhere to be found. And we have NEVER had to follow so many directions or take bottles to the recycling building! Stains on carpets upstairs. Shower doors not cleaned well. No notice about steep driveway which hurt the car nor directions about how to lock the door from the inside. Given the money we paid, the lack of concern from property management was supremely disappointing.

Lovely house ideal for large party. Decor and furniture tired and in need of updating (adjacent similar property appears to have been thoroughly refurbished). Lovely location and convenient for all facilities in Clifden. Clifden itself is an ideal centre for exploring this beautiful part of Ireland. Property manager very helpful when needed.

My husband, two daughters, and their children recently stayed at cottage 173 in Clifden. The weather was unkind so it was wonderful to be able to walk to the shops and supermarket and scurry back to the house when it became too inclement. The house was warm, the heater on a timer which we did not find necessary to adjust, and the rooms large and comfortable. We did not need a dryer but had we been spending more than a few days this might have been a problem considering the weather. The kitchen was well equipped except for the absence of a spatula (!) which is easily remedied. One note, it is difficult to see the access point to the cottage from the road and both we and my daughter passed it out a couple of times before espying the sharp rise on a turn. We would recommend staying at cottage 173.for its comfort and proximity to the town

Had a great week in Clifden - such a beautiful spot with so much to see and do. Best thing about the house was the location - ideal on the edge of the town of Clifden so we could walk to all the amenities on offer in this great little spot.
