Stayed Jun 6, 2024Gregory’s place was an idyllic cottage overlooking the sea and blessed with a lovely garden where we ate breakfast and sat out in the evenings. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable. The location was fantastic, minutes away from Michael John’s pub and a short walk to beautiful Shroove beach. We have already recommended the Old Stables and will definitely return ourselves. Gregory was an attentive, welcoming and hospitable host. We couldn’t fault anything!

Stayed Aug 17, 2023The Old Stable is a lovely cottage which wrapped us in a calm soothing embrace. It was spotlessly clean and efficient, warmed up quickly and provided a home base from which to explore the surrounding beauty of the landscape. Its simple and tasteful decor was inviting and comfortable, the wood stove worked easily and we did not lack for anything. The view of the bay was ever changing and the air so clean and refreshing. Gregory was a perfect host who guided us when we arrived in the very late evening and was always available to answer any queries we had about the cottage or the local places of interest and the amenities of Moville. He was most helpful, patient, and kind. If you long for peace and a nourishing respite from a busy daily routine, this haven will not disappoint! We long to revisit it already.
